Mexico's @CFEmx recently awarded 37 renewable energy projects under its new mixed development scheme, several of which benefited from Monarch’s support.
As developers move into implementation, Monarch stands ready to help at every stage ahead. 🇲🇽⚡️

"Frustration is growing inside the Mexican government with ... the Trump administration’s seemingly insatiable demands...Washington rarely credits Mexico for its cooperation, has offered little relief from tariffs and has shown scant concern for the political repercussions..." @Jose_deCordoba & @PerezEnMexico https://t.co/3xQTklAtCX

We had an insightful conversation at @ChathamHouse yesterday. Great points by Pamela Starr @USMexNet and Graham Stock @stockqualities moderated by @ChrisSabatini. Some of my comments summarised: We can’t control geopolitics, we can navigate as best as we can the US leadership and the bilateral relation, but there’s a lot we can do to fix our fundamentals. The challenge is there to make ourselves stronger and more competitive. Optimism is not the answer to catastrophism, is realism. Data and evidence are essential in this brave new world. 🤓 @LSEPublicPolicy

NEWS: Massive budget cuts for US science proposed again by Trump administration
"It's an extinction-level event for science".
The US government is proposing massive cuts to almost every branch of science, from NASA to the National Institutes of Health. NSF would completely eliminate the social, economic and behavioral sciences directorate.
This would decimate the world's leading scientific system.

Delighted to say @ChathamHouse has elevated Latin America to a “programme”thanks to our work on Peru, Venezuela, Haiti & region generally. For those in London there will be a reception May 19. This has been my goal since 2019. Truly honoured. https://t.co/9zRU5yK1Iw
This discussion about US-Mexico security relations with @AnaPOrdorica and @marybsheridan is as relevant today as it was when we recorded it last month. Have a listen! https://t.co/fgCfqZRX85
You simply have no idea what you are talking about. It’s a difference of opinion about the best tactics to employ, not about the need to go after the cartels.
🚨 HOLY CRAP: President Trump just went straight at Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum after she refused his help to crush the cartels. Trump says he offered to wipe them out and she said no. Think about that. The cartels are running Mexico and their own president doesn’t want them gone.
