A significant pattern of Latino national origin change is that the share of Mexican Latinos has dropped by 1%, yet is unchanged in TX - just under 86%. Another notable shift is the increased Central American share which doubled in TX from 2.7% to 5.4% - certainly over 6% now.

From 2000 to 2020 California’s share of Latinos dropped almost 15%, yet the state increased its Latino population by 4.9 million . Also, although Texas lost share by 3%, it still increased its Latino population by 4.6 million.

In Texas, Asian growth from 2000 to 2020 is dramatically high - mostly due to the tech industry.
The NH Other has more than doubled and is rising.
Latinos have a lower rate but grew 80% since 2000 & now number 11.9 million. The non-Hispanic White population flattened since 2015.

From 2000 to 2020 Latinos, NH Asians and NH Other (mostly multiracial persons) have grown at close to the same overall rate – between 83% and 87%. #usness
