To recent followers: we were born in massive UK uni workers strike of 2018 — initially about uni pensions.
Many senior uni managers follow us. Many are strategising over student encampments. To all of you: the movement for liberation is only intensifying - don’t forget this 🍉
Jewish students and faculty at NYU hosted a Passover Seder for community members that stand in solidarity with Palestinians.
They’re now under investigation by the University.
We warned NYU that enforcing ideology conformity within a protected group violates civil rights law.
My friend @Ahmed_Nashwan_ is still permanently suspended from X for no reason whatsoever. Ahmed is a genocide victim reporting from the ground from the worst atrocity of this century.
Can we get some big accounts to amplify this silenced voice from Gaza???
The New School student government is suspending student funding for the campus Hillel chapter.
They cite programs sending students to support the IDF, including units that killed a 78-year-old American, and killed 15 Palestinian emergency workers & buried them in a mass grave.
BREAKING: 'People Against Genocide' have abseiled through the roof of Elbit's arms factory in Leicester.
They're breaking the ceiling of the clean room used to make key parts for Israeli military drones.
Contaminating the clean room can knock it out of use for several months.
Fascinating FT investigation into the boom in privately-owned student accommodation in the UK - a giant boondoggle for developers, and an increasingly unaffordable prospect for students ("PBSA" = purpose-built (private) student accommodation)

I can now reveal that crypto billionaire Ben Delo—pardoned by Trump after a conviction for anti-money-laundering violations—privately funded the failed libel action brought against me by neo-Nazi conspiracy theorists Nina Power and Daniel Miller to the tune of at least £300,000.
Incredibly moving event at Goldsmiths renaming a lecture theatre in honour of murdered journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. Powerful contributions from journalists, students & Palestinian ambassador @hzomlot on the impunity of Israeli forces. “We need to continue walking in her steps”
#AcademicFreedom | We have written to @ERC_Research to express deep concern regarding complaints against @HarrygPettit, and suggestions that an ERC grant should be withdrawn based on his lawful political beliefs and public expression.

A massive win for everyone targeted by state repression.
Kwabena Devonish, an anti-racist activist and Palestine solidarity campaigner, has been unanimously acquitted after a two-year terrorism prosecution for a speech supporting the Palestinian resistance.
Kwabena was targeted after a video of her speech in November 2023 circulated online by an account which targeted Palestine solidarity campaigners.
In the video, which was played to the jury during the trial on Monday, Kwabena said:
“I would never condemn the resistance of Palestinians because their resistance is due to occupation. I am sick of being told to condemn Hamas, when Hamas are fighting for freedom.”
Commenting on the verdict, Kwabena’s barrister, Kate O'Raghallaigh of @DoughtyStreet said:
“The jury’s unanimous verdict today was a vindication for Kwabena. The outcome of this case is welcome confirmation that her speech at a demonstration - which took place nearly 2 and a half years ago – was within the limits of her right to free speech in support of the rights of Palestinians”
Reacting to the verdict, Kwabena said:
“This is a massive win for myself and for my friends and family but also for the wider Palestine movement. The ruling today shows that it is important we continue to speak out against the atrocities in Gaza, but also speak out against Israel and UK’s complicity in the genocide.”

Israel destroyed this apartment block in central Beirut where it had taken this professor of chemistry at AUB and his wife over 20 years of work, each, to be able to own their apartment
I have been deliberately silent on social media for a while. I use all my social media platforms to promote education & make dreams come true for young minds. I rarely post anything about family or politics.
This morning, Israel demolished the building I have an apartment in. It took 22 years of my work here & 20 years of my wife’s work to own this apartment. This madness has to stop.
The sincere belief that the sadistic brutalization of the Palestinian people would sever their connection to their land; that a sixty-year siege on Cuba would compel its people to abandon their revolution; or that assassinating Iran’s revolutionary and spiritual leadership would force the country to surrender its sovereignty to its historic tormentors in the United States and the Zionist ethno-state of Israel—these are not simply policy miscalculations. They are manifestations of what I call the psychopathology of white supremacy.
