EFCC Arraigns Man for Alleged $5,000 Fraud in Enugu

The Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,   has arraigned one Raheem Abiodun Wasiu before Justice H. O. Eya of the Enugu State High Court, sitting in Independence Layout for alleged $5,000 (Five Thousand United States Dollar) fraud.
Wasiu was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on stealing by conversion and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of the said sum.
Count two of the charge reads: “That you, Wasiu Abiodun Raheem, on the 6th day of July, 2026b at Enugu State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of $5,000 (Five Thousand United States Dollars) from Stanley Chukwuamuanya Ezekulie, under false pretense that you will transfer to Stanley Chukwuamuanya Ezekulie the Naira equivalent of N7, 050, 000. 00 (Seven Million, Fifty Thousand Naira),  a representation you knew to be false”.
The offence is contrary to Section 1 (1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act (2006) and punishable under Section 1 (3) of the same Act.
The defendant pleaded “not guilty” and in view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, Chief Superintendent of the EFCC, CSE Chiekezie Raymond Edozie prayed the court for a trial date and for Wasiu to be remanded at the facility of the Nigerian Correctional service, NCoS in Enugu.
However, the defence counsel, A. J. Ebube orally applied for bail for his client but was opposed by the prosecution on the grounds that “the prosecution has facts which if brought to the notice of the court will make the court unwilling to grant the defendant bail”. The prosecution prayed for accelerated hearing.
The matter was adjourned to October 28, 2026 for hearing of bail application; November 3 and 10, 2026 for trial. The defendant was thereafter remanded at the facility of the NCoS.
Wasiu, 38, was arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, following a complaint by one Stanley Chukwuamuanya Ezekulie, a Bureau De Change operator who claimed that he defrauded  him of $5000
In the course of investigation by operatives of the EFCC, it was discovered that the suspect always rents different Toyota Hilux trucks, disguises as a wealthy contractor, moves with escorts and meets BDC operators in the South-east and Akwa Ibom State and allegedly tricks them into parting with their hard earned money, by presenting fake alerts in Naira to them, after collecting their money.

If it isn't safe, it isn't care.

For people living with heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases, care is a lifelong journey. A delayed diagnosis, medication error, unsafe procedure, or poor communication can have devastating consequences.

Access to care matters. Safety matters just as much.

Everyone deserves safe care, for life.

Gold can still react to geopolitical events, USD sentiment, and breaking news during the weekend.

Traditional gold trading is usually closed, but Vantage XAUUSD247 allows traders to trade gold during the weekend instead of waiting until Monday

Ever since I joined Web3, one question I get all the time is:

"How do you balance medical school and content creation?"

Honestly, I stopped trying to remember everything by myself.

@Mira has become my AI assistant inside Telegram, helping me manage my schedule, organize my ideas, summarize documents, stay on top of emails, research trends, and work with the apps I already use every day.

This is how I stay organized without constantly switching between apps.

If your days are as busy as mine, you might want to meet Mira.

I used to think Web3 projects lived or died by their product.

Now I think they live or die by their 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦'𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥.

A great product gets people through the door. But once they're inside, the real work begins.

Someone has to answer community questions, monitor social media.

Track performance, respond when sentiment shifts.

And somehow do it all over again the next day.

That's when I started asking a different question:

@TheMaggieCletus @MEXC Hmmm
That's a smart question to ask

[✨Maggie ✨|| Trade Gold 24/7 on Vantage @TheMaggieCletus]

You wrote that "𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗶𝘁'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆"

What's one measurable action users should expect from @MEXC over the next year that proves this isn't just a slogan?

We spend a lot of time asking what AI can do.

Maybe it's time we started asking a different question:

Who is teaching AI?

A lot of people still look at Web3 projects only from the perspective of token prices or exchange listings

But the stronger question is: “What kind of ecosystem are they actually trying to build?”

Looking through the @StarX roadmap, it’s clear the vision goes beyond a token

Most people already own valuable assets.

They just don’t realize it… because its sitting still.

In our culture, silver isn’t just metal it’s part of weddings,

festivals, and the trusted savings we pass down through generations.

The Last Copy

There's a concept in preservation called "the last copy."

When a library holds the only remaining version of a book, that book becomes priceless. Not for its content. For its existence. Lose that copy, lose the work forever.

Digital was supposed to eliminate last copies. It made them worse.

→ Permacastapp / Permaweb_DAO: Copies That Don't Die

Every file on Permacastapp is many copies.

Arweave distributes across dozens of nodes. Continents. Jurisdictions. Networks.
A fire in one data center? Other copies remain. A government seizure in one country? Other jurisdictions hold it. A company going bankrupt? The nodes don't care.

There is no last copy. Because there was never one copy.

But copies are only useful if they can be found.

A thousand copies in a thousand places, all invisible, might as well be zero.

→ dgrid_ai: Finding the Copies

Distributed storage solves deletion. It doesn't solve discovery.

A file exists in fifty places. How do you find any of them? How do you know the file exists at all?
DGrid solves discovery.

Every file on Permacastapp is indexed. Every copy is routable. Every location is findable.
You search. DGrid finds the nearest copy. The fastest route. The most reliable node.

The copies become accessible.

Now connect them:

A rare recording exists only on Permacastapp / Permaweb_DAO. A few dozen copies, scattered globally.

A researcher searches. dgrid_ai finds the closest copy. Delivers it instantly.

A node in that region goes offline. DGrid finds another. Seamlessly. The researcher never knows.

There is no last copy. There is always another.

What this enables:

· True permanence. No single point of failure.
· Geographic resilience. Regional outages don't matter.
· Censorship resistance. No government can seize all copies.
· Continuous access. Even as nodes come and go.

The last copy problem:

In traditional preservation, each copy increases risk. More places for failure. More maintenance. More cost.

In Permacastapp + DGrid, each copy decreases risk. More redundancy. More resilience. More access.

The math flips.

Examples:

A small community archives its language recordings on Permacastapp. Only 50 copies exist globally. A political crisis hits their region. Local servers go offline.

Researchers elsewhere still access the recordings. DGrid finds copies in other countries. The language survives the crisis.

A rare manuscript exists only as digital scans. The original is gone. The scans live on Permacastapp, distributed across continents. A fire destroys one data center. Seven others remain. The manuscript survives.

A controversial documentary gets published. Governments try to suppress it. Too late. Copies exist in dozens of countries. DGrid routes around blocks. The documentary remains accessible.

Permacastapp / Permaweb_DAO without dgrid_ai is a book hidden in fifty libraries, with no catalog.

Fifty copies. No one knows they exist.

dgrid_ai without Permacastapp / Permaweb_DAO is a catalog with no books.

Everyone searching. Nothing to find.

Together, they're the answer to the last copy problem:

Many copies.
All findable.
None last.
