@Mailafiya_r22 Do you know the person that posted it is not even the original owner or the idea?
That idea was out already around April from someone else.
A first world citizen is complaining about a $60 dollar shirt from a global brand like Nike, but my fellow third world citizens of Nigeria (the poverty capital of the world) would tell you that you're not the target audience, when you complain about the over priced "street wear" local brands sell.
This is one of the reasons I’ll always be grateful to my parents.
I once had a competition where I was representing my school. There were three of us from the school, and throughout the theory aspect, I was the best. But when it got to the finals, I was taken off because I stammered. My parents were pissed.
They took their time and had the patience to teach me how to speak better. My siblings too, they helped me a lot.
Today, I can confidently have a conversation without stammering, as long as I’m not arguing intensely, going back and forth, or having multiple people talk over me. I’m good.
But honestly, that whole experience took a lot from me. Sometimes people would even call me a liar when I tried to explain my own side of the story because they couldn’t understand why I struggled to get the words out.
Looking back, I’m just grateful I had parents who didn’t see it as something I should be ashamed of. They saw something I could work on and gave me the patience to work through it.
I’ll always appreciate them for that.
