Ducker briefing that Rashford’s wages are why the club didn’t do more business.
What a rubbish excuse. Casemiro and Sancho have just come off the books.
Don’t blame others for your incompetence.
Another transfer window where I feel the Manchester United fanbase would benefit from Jason Wilcox doing a sit-down interview with non-club media to explain how #MUFC approached things, what he think went well and what he wants to do in future.
This needs to be made abundantly clear.
If the wheels fall off this season because of a lack of squad depth, the *majority* of the frustration needs to be pointed at INEOS.
Less so at Michael Carrick. The manager isn't a punchbag for the ownership's failures.
Created needless pressure on Amass.
Carrick did his job and the board should have took a risk. This was the summer to do it given the uncertainty of all the other clubs.
The club either couldn’t do more due to lack of funds, or didnt want to.
I don’t know what is worse.
The legacy overspending is costing us now, obviously. The Glazers don’t have a fucking clue and that’s why Woodward was allowed to cause chaos. But sometimes you have to take risks and a season when you’ve got back in to the CL is one of those times. Gutted for Carrick.
Overall 4/10 window. Recruitment hasn’t been an issue. It’s not hard to identify a good player of the right profile. That’s the bare minimum. No misses, 3 great midfielders but it’s not enough.
Opportunity to close the gap missed because they lack ambition. Sales poor too.
Last summer was a fantastic transfer window for us. And this summer we were so close. Literally 2 players away from it being another great window. What a shame. Looking at our rivals dropping £100m on players every year. How are we ever going to compete with that.
Vivell is gonna walk.
Just a matter of when not if.
If you don’t go with what he tells you, he’ll just go to Bayern and they’ll do what he says.
Simple.
This is a failure on the club, no other way to paint it. Can't tell me there wasn't a solution to the left back situation, even if only for this season on loan.
