Pogba was doing this whilst being asked to play in a 4-2-3-1 double pivot next to the likes of Fred and Mctominay. Yet sky sports thought he needed to be scoring 20 goals a season from that position. Bruno plays slightly further back for a few months and it’s a war crime.
@MartienBall Flick won the sextuple with Bayern in his first season, and won the league every season he was there. At Barcelona, again during his first season at the club, he won La Liga etc. He’s bought himself time at the top level. Amorim finished 15th and lost a final to spurs.
@BillyMeredithMU @abdullahsalim60 You also tweeted that Lammens is up there was Peter Schmeichel.. so with all due respect, Amorim could get us relegated and you’d probably still be sat here defending him.
@BillyMeredithMU Let’s keep comparing managers to arguably the best manager of all time, I’m sure that’s gonna bring us success in the long run. This obsession with another Fergie esc manager is what’s holding us back.
@RubenWay_ We could be sitting at 17th in January and you guys will still be saying ‘oh but when he gets a new midfielder and some wingbacks we’ll be challenging for the league’.
@markgoldbridge Back to doing the same thing that you did when Ten Hag was rumoured the get sacked, scaremongering the fanbase into thinking that the replacement is going to be Southgate.
Yeah but that’s because one of our CBs pushes into the midfield, the issue with that is non of our CBs are strong enough on the ball or have the positional awareness to act as a midfielder in or out of possession. We have Mainoo, but Amorim rathers De Ligt pushes into midfield🤦🏽♂️.
🚨🎙️| Harry Maguire defends Ruben Amorim’s system:
“People say we play with a back 3 or 5 but a lot of the time during the game we also play with a back 4.
If you stop the game and analyse it, we use a back 4 in many phases of the game. It’s been like that since the manager arrived.
People like to talk about the formation because we’re playing a different system than the rest.
The formation has been fine. We’ve been comfortable tactically in every game. It’s got to be down to the PLAYERS.”
PREACH HARRY, PREACH 👏🏻
@UTDKIE United fans are the only fans in the world who see a manager get sacked in the Turkish league and think he will be the one to bring success to the club.
Maybe, just maybe, the same mistake would be giving another manager 100s of millions to spend only for him to not be good enough and get sacked, and in return use the same excuses for the next manager. The same way sacking managers has been a cycle so has giving them too long.
Team vs Man City yesterday:
Bayindir, Mazraoui,Ugarte - Ten hag signings
Shaw - Van gaal
Bruno and Maguire - Ole
They were all DOGSHIT yesterday.
The 3 Amorim signing:
Dorgu was average.
Mbeumo - the best player.
Sesko - first Pl start.
Don't repeat the same mistake of blaming managers.
This was @JamesTactics original point btw.
@utd_Eman Calling a player who couldn’t get a start for Fulham and currently plays for Leeds ‘the king of assists’. This fanbase and their revisionism.
@utd_Eman Notice how Pogba’s at the heart of almost all of these goals… but because he didn’t get the ‘assist’ and people only care about numbers, no one ever truly appreciated him.
But fans will still say ‘It’s not the managers fault, every manager has failed here’ yeah because we’ve made bad appointments. We hired Ole who offered nothing but Vibes, a washed Mourinho who later got sacked by spurs and Ten Hag who’s just been sacked after 2 games.
Zubimendi, Eze, Gyokeres, Madueke, Mosquera, Norgard, Kepa and now Hincape… But at the end of the season they’ll cry about how much money Liverpool spent, blame injuries and say Arteta still needs time.
🚨 BREAKING: Piero Hincapié to Arsenal, here we go! Deal in place with Bayer04 after agreement done with the player.
New defender joins #AFC on fee worth €52m plus sell-on clause with medical set to follow next, as @David_Ornstein reports.
One more top addition for Arsenal. 🇪🇨
200Million spent on a random German striker, Anthony Elanga and Jacob Ramsey. But he’ll cry next week on his channel about the ‘Big 6’ ruining football with PSR
As much as I wanted it to work, I don’t think as a football club, a tactically astute manager is gonna work for us. We need an Ancelotti/ Zidane esc manager who demands respect based on their name and accolades. A manager who players will work for no matter what.
@petesunitedPOV I think being probably our best midfielder pre bringing Amorim means he’s earned it. Scoring a last minute goal to take us through in the europa league last season also shows he’s earned it. Being our most competent midfielder on the ball means he’s earned it.
