What a glorious twelfth we had leading our district in east Belfast .. on this our 50th year we decided to go retro and wear the bands first ever uniform we hope we managed to transport peoples memory back to yesteryear to a time and place when wholly jumpers were the whole go.

Tomorrow sees the band parade through central London..to mark the queens platinum jubilee.

Yesterday we laid to rest one of our own Ainslie Gordon. One of life’s true gentlemen. Loyal and dedicated Ainslie became the very fabric of the band. He’ll be greatly greatly missed by each and everyone of us and will be forever in our thoughts. Farewell good friend.. 69’
