When an educated nationalist who also happens to be a self-made billionaire influences millions of young minds towards patriotism and nation-building, what else could make such a person a living legend?

How many of you know that Dr. Vembu, despite being a billionaire, uses a basic ₹10,000 smartphone?

How many of you know that more than 700 of his employees are served three meals a day completely free of cost?

How many of you know that Dr. Vembu firmly believes rural India is fully capable of sustaining itself, and that young people need not migrate to big cities to succeed?

How many of you know that one of his most recent ventures has been the development of India's own indigenous products, including the messaging app Arattai, which is used by crores of people both within and outside India?

What impressed me the most is his fight against corruption in Tamil Nadu and his quest to usher in transparency and honesty in governance.

Most importantly, Dr. Vembu is the embodiment of unwavering commitment and perseverance in making India a world-class, state-of-the-art innovation hub, perfectly embodying Prime Minister Modi's Make in India vision.

Many congratulations to Jyothi Yarraji on becoming Asia's fastest woman in the 100m hurdles by winning gold at the 65th National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships.

After a year-long battle with injury, she has not just returned to the track but displayed an indomitable spirit, outpacing the field in a brilliant 12.99s.

She brought double delight to the nation as, apart from winning gold, she earlier in the day clocked 13.14s to meet the qualifying standard for the 20th Asian Games Aichi–Nagoya 2026.

After 79 years of independence, India has finally built its first homemade MRI machine.

Bengaluru startup VoxelGrids, backed by Zoho, spent 12 years developing a fully indigenous 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner. It skips the costly liquid helium used in traditional machines, making it around 40% cheaper to build and far more energy efficient.

The scanner is already up and running at Chandrapur Cancer Care Foundation near Nagpur, helping cut India's heavy reliance on imported medical equipment from global giants.

With India having only about 5,000 MRI machines for its entire population, this breakthrough could mean faster, cheaper scans for smaller hospitals and rural areas in the years ahead.
