I can't stop thinking and I hope I’m wrong but it looks like Mingwa just went with the “leave while you're still at the top” approach. Which honestly if she’s tired and she thinks she can’t do this anymore it’s probably for the best 😔 maybe she didn’t expect jinx to be as big as it is, bc even if BJ Alex was and still is a big hit it wasn’t as big as jinx is today.

Sometimes we think we can handle more than we actually can, and there's nothing wrong with realizing halfway there that actually, no, we can't.

We already know there is only one chapter left before Jinx ends, and yes, honestly, it feels shocking.

A lot of us expected this season to be the longest one, so of course it feels strange and even sad to realize the ending is coming so soon. But I also think it’s important to look at the bigger picture.

During this season, Mingwa only took one short hiatus, if I remember correctly, and aside from that she consistently kept working. Meanwhile, she was delivering chapters, improving her art tremendously and, at the same time, creating illustrations for events, collaborations, calendars and promotions, not only for Lezhin Korea but also for other countries.

That is also work. That is exhausting too.

And maybe that is part of why the ending feels more rushed than many of us expected. But at the same time, I don’t feel like the author left the story empty or unresolved. We saw JK’s backstory, his growth, his development and how much he changed from the beginning.

JK is not the same person anymore. We watched him reflect on himself, understand his feelings, acknowledge his mistakes and finally apologize.

And honestly, this chapter was incredible. I say this as someone who has read stories where the person who hurt the other never apologizes, never takes accountability and the story simply moves on.

Seeing JK crying, begging, apologizing and admitting that he didn’t want Dan to leave him was powerful. It was something many of us had been waiting for. Would I have liked to see more? Of course. When you genuinely love a story, you always want more and more.

So I completely understand why people feel sad or frustrated. As readers, we build expectations, grow attached and imagine certain moments, so when the ending suddenly feels close, it hurts.

But knowing Mingwa, I honestly don’t think this is completely the end. If she gave us extras for BJ Alex, I wouldn’t be surprised if she does the same for Jinx, especially considering how much bigger this story became.

There are still things left unresolved, especially the grandmother, and I can also see room for extras about the secondary couple or peaceful moments between JK and Dan after everything they went through.

Personally, I’ve always believed that when a character hurts another, what matters most is seeing the change. Seeing them suffer, reflect, understand the consequences and truly regret what they did. And that is exactly what Mingwa showed us in these last chapters.

I’ve also seen people say that everyone talked so much about the “jinx” for nothing, but honestly… I feel like some people are reading without really understanding. The jinx is gone. JK already overcame that trauma he had been carrying since childhood and adolescence. Narratively, there was no reason to keep dragging it on.

I think sometimes we need to pause before judging.

We can feel sad, want more and have different expectations, that’s completely valid. But I also think it’s important to recognize the work, effort and everything the author actually gave us.

And if extras come after a well-deserved break, I’ll happily be there for them 🤍

The drop rate of the 3 Memories you selected will be significantly increased. Each time you obtain a 5-Star Memory, there's a 75% chance it will be one of the three Memories you selected.
*Notes:
1. During the event, you can change your selected Memories at any time. If you obtain a 5-Star Memory in a wish, there's a 25% chance that it will be an unselected Memory or a permanent 5-Star Memory.
2. After the event ends, the five event-limited Memories will not be obtainable through other means and will not enter the permanent Wish Pool: Xspace Echo.
