JUST IN: Sir Keir Starmer has announced his resignation as prime minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Labour Party. He is expected to remain in office in a caretaker capacity until the party elects a successor.
Reports indicate that Starmer's decision followed mounting pressure from Labour MPs and senior cabinet ministers after a series of political setbacks, declining poll numbers, disappointing local election results and growing concern over the rapid rise of Nigel Farage's Reform UK.
Starmer becomes the fifth British prime minister to resign in the past decade, following David Cameron in 2016, Theresa May in 2019, Boris Johnson in 2022 and Liz Truss, who stepped down after just 45 days in office later that same year. His departure extends a period of unprecedented political volatility at the top of British government, with the UK now set to welcome its sixth prime minister in just 10 years.
NYC executive chairman race🔥 😬. As a distant observer, that’s a tight contest right there. Makuu ovanatje owo nganda imue💚💙❤️, omundu nomuramue. Umue matja ozongombe ozatate mesokutia, warue matja ozongunduandje, Katie zongunduee😮💨🔥🔥🔥🔥. All the best to contestants. Let’s return the NYC to its glory as the voice of the youth in Namibia.
The last time the Ovaherero community truly enjoyed respect was when Chief Kuaima was alive. As we remember him today, we must also confront an uncomfortable reality: the divisions within our community.
A people who refuse to unite behind leadership weaken their own voice and invite disrespect to their leaders. Honoring his legacy requires more than remembrance. it requires restoring unity and purpose among ourselves. Leave the courts. Kahepero okujarisa ohani yetu momivanda.
Indjee Pamue veetu! Ozonditona matuningire.
Political parties in South Africa have convened what they call the conference of the left, supposedly to work towards a consensus of leftist politics or class struggle policies in RSA. It got me thinking. Who really represents the left in Namibia? And I mean to its fullest. Who?
4 years go by so fast, you just gotta keep showing up. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS to all the Graduates 🎓🔥. It’s to drink educated waters this weekend and after every sip go : “as I was saying…..”😂.
Graduation season teaches us that no struggle is permanent. It sucks indeed when you fail or struggle even with the simplest of things such as taxi fare. But if you keep on, you’ll graduate. Uni in Namibia is free colleagues. Enroll and get your certificate/diploma/degree.
