WalletConnect 🤝 Canton Network - now live
WalletConnect has integrated with @CantonNetwork, connecting 700+ wallets to a blockchain purpose-built for institutional finance.
→ Private, compliant onchain activity
→ Institutional-grade payments & RWAs
→ Secure access without exposing sensitive data
This is a major step toward enabling access to institutional crypto markets.
The Vercel breach put the problem in plain sight.
Too many systems still keep sensitive logic and data stored in one place.
nilDB exists to break that pattern.
- Sensitive data is split before it is stored
- It is distributed across multiple nilDB nodes
- No single node holds the complete secret
- No single breach reveals the whole dataset
That’s why Nillion matters: it gives builders a privacy layer for sensitive data.
Hot take: the gas fee debate is a distraction.
The actual infrastructure ceiling isn't cost.
The real ceiling is verification architecture.
Every validator replaying every computation is the bottleneck at scale — not the fee you're charged for it.
Cheap gas on a re-execution model is a faster horse.
Proof-based execution is a car.

Just a short time ago, the world of Web3 existed in its own bubble, almost completely separate from everyday traditional finance. But thanks to companies like Wallet Connect @WalletConnect, the lines between cryptocurrency and regular money (fiat) are steadily disappearing.A couple of years ago, cryptocurrency was mostly used by enthusiasts and experts. Today, things are changing rapidly. More and more everyday people are starting to send and receive payments in crypto especially using stablecoins, which behave almost exactly like familiar dollars or euros. A clear example of this shift was on full display at the WalletCon 2026 conference in Cannes. There, Wallet Connect introduced WalletConnect Pay a ready-to-use payment system for both online and in-store purchases that works just like a regular terminal. You simply scan a QR code or tap your phone (tap-to-pay), and the payment goes through smoothly.
Speakers highlighted real-world growth: stablecoins are gaining strong traction in Africa, where they help people bypass slow traditional banking systems. Partnerships include POS terminals with Ingenico (launching in April), neo-banks that are issuing their own stablecoin wallets, and major rollouts in Latin America with Blockco supporting over 500,000 merchants. There were also exciting updates on security, privacy, and user experience all designed to make crypto as simple and convenient as Apple Pay.All of this shows that Web3 is no longer somewhere out there. It’s quickly becoming a practical part of daily life for millions of people around the world.

The WalletConnect Network facilitated $7.30B of which @USDC on @ethereum came out at number one.
Stablecoins aren’t just the future of finance.
They are being sent, received, and spent daily.

Messari's framing of what we built:
"Nexus represents an architectural bet: that high-performance financial infrastructure should not be simulated through smart contracts, but embedded directly into the base layer and verified cryptographically."

Most people don't know that every DEX they use runs on simulation.
@MessariCrypto just explained why Nexus is different.
The latest report describes what it looks like when an exchange is enshrined directly into the chain instead, and why it matters.
