This week I’ve made up some ‘challenge cards’ to hopefully help my early finishers to stay on task as that has been a big issue in my class this term. Hoping this will help manage behaviour for students who finish tasks early as well 🤞🏼 #acuedu_p
I absolutely love using this book in the classroom! It provides an alphabetical order of emotions for children. Each week in my class we have an emotional focus. By using this book at the beginning of the week the students are able to understand the emotion better #acuedu_p
In 5 years time I would love for people to say I have had a positive impact on their learning, am very approachable and confident in my teaching/learning #acuedu_p
I love using this discussion technique in the classroom where I call out a student’s name randomly. It ensures all students are engaged, ready to learn and have an equal opportunity in sharing their responses! #acuedu_p
💡CLASS RULES💡 one thing casual teaching has taught me is the importance of establishing class rules for all students to follow! This class had the kids sign the ‘contract’ to ensure behaviour is monitored! #acuedu_p
EASTER HOLIDAY READING CHALLENGE🐣🐰 First day back for Term 2 & majority of Year 3’s completed active reading during the school holidays! Such a big achievement #acuedu_p
I was scrolling through Instagram today and saw this image about what a teacher is. I love this post and found it extremely empowering for teachers everywhere & I just had to share it😊 #acuedu_p
Learning Pits are a useful way to help guide students into a growth mindset. This amazing pit relates to a book that the students have read, and together they made different tools that they know or could find to assist their learning. #acuedu_p
Over the past 6 weeks in EDFD452 I have found the resources that David posts extremely useful to my development as a casual teacher! I would love to learn more about how to deal with and manage behaviours surrounding challenging students in the classroom #acuedu_p
These books are excellent for students to read as they explore different feelings and the situations where these feelings may arise. The books include strategies to help calm these feelings down and they help explain the reason students may feel this way. #acuedu_p
Yesterday I was teaching Year 4 and noticed a few signs around the classroom which promoted and supported wellbeing of students. Definitely would implement something similar to this in my future classroom! #acuedu_p
One of my favourite books ever!! Absolutely love exploring this book & reading it while out in the field doing casual teaching ! Would definitely recommend :) #acuedu_p
