Macro Monday: a hermit crab with some great real estate. π Hermit crabs do not grow their own shells. Rather, they search for vacant shells to live in that were left by animals like snails, and hunt for bigger shells to move into as they grow!

Macro Monday: our hellbender salamander, also known as a snot otter, mudcat, lasagna lizard, or Allegheny alligator. These salamanders were once thought to be creatures of the underworld, as they spend their days hiding under rocks or logs in freshwater & only come out at night!
