Adipurush was a total disaster. There is no doubt about the fact that Namit Malhotra's Ramayana is an improvement on that.
I have not watched Namit's movie but I liked its trailer and hated the casting.
The reviews have been very polarising. Some have liked it and even cried and some hated it and called it propapganda.
Sooner or later, we will soon get another Ramayana movie by a different director with different actors.
Whoever decides to make a new movie about Shri Ram, they should keep few things in mind:
- Do not take actors who have image of being a womaniser and are known to eat beef.
- Do not take actors who have history of insulting Indian Armed forces.
- Add Bhajans with more soul. Stay away from AR Rahman please.
- Learn from Ramanand Sagar when it comes to casting. Ramanand Sagar used to give lead roles to lesser known talented actors because he wanted his audience to see Shri Ram or Shri Krishna in them and not the famous actors.
We all now that people opposed the casting of the movie from the start. If Namit had listened to his future audience, he would have faced less criticism today.
I also believe that if Ramanand Sagar ji had made Ramayana television series in 2026, people would have criticized him too.
In the end, I would just like to say that blind hatred won't take us anywhere. Criticize only if it is required and just. Don't do it just because you can.
Dehati hindus don't deserve this high scale and visually grand #Ramayana movie.
It's okay bro... we don't want to celebrate ravana. we are perfectly happy with movies like bahubali, RRR, kantara, mahavatar narsimha, hanuman ansh, varanasi, and dhurandhar. Happy Diwali тЬия╕П
@aavishhkar I thought this #Ramayana won't have typical urduwood agenda but Bollywood is beyond repair. It was out fault that we actually had expectations from namit malhotra and nitesh tiwari.
Alright! Watched Ramayana the film today morning with my wife! We both found the first half extremely boring and 2nd half somewhat ok! Jatayu Pushpak and Tornado scenes were good!
The first half looked like a 'Being Human' kind of PR project for Ravan and the entire Asur clan, with slides of various scenes here and there, with zero human connection!
Can't say I've never watched anything like this before. I've seen much better! Two parts of Baahubali, RRR, and some other Indian films made before already have better storytelling, human connection, and breathtaking visuals. To each their own!
If you know the capacity of movies for political messaging & use it to elevate politicians,& still call it "just a movie" when it subverts our Itihasas, your priorities are pretty clear. Fealty to politicians & Itihasic liberalism- some Hindutva this is, if it can be called that.
@jsaideepak Those RWs who are supporting this ramayana are the biggest idiots. They are happy with Ravan Glorification and subtle agenda because Jatayu & Pushpak viman were shown very magnificently. What to say.....
