When I started my collective, Vince & The Valholla Empire, I simply wanted to vessel for me to release music I loved without any barriers. Our single, ‘New Shoes’ is an instrumental that I envisioned that would move people, and it did. The feedback has been crazy so I’m excited that this song is up for consideration in the Best Instrumental Composition category.

11 years ago, we did a limited run on a T-Shirt called the Julius Tee, and the design was based on a sculpture from Nicolas Coustou.
It was a favorite of mine and I still have a shirt from the run and I wore it out a few months ago and based on the response I got from it, i figured we should run the release back.

Around 2 years ago, our label shifted focus to our ‘label is the artist’ business model. With this model we focus on releases from collectives and in the last 28 days our collectives had the highest number of unique listeners across all platforms since the shift (close to 20K).
