I don’t have anything else to say except that Israel is once again kidnapping people in international waters trying to break the siege on Gaza, violating Convention on the Law of the Sea and international law with absolutely no consequences.
It is wild that the EU demands respect for international maritime laws to open the Strait of Hormuz, while remaining completely silent about the kidnapping of EU citizens in international waters trying to deliver food to the starving people of Gaza.
The people of Gaza have the right to aid even under occupation.
This young man received a call from the Israeli military saying he could either die alone or in the car with his family. He ran into a field alone and was murdered by one of their drones. This is the future Israel wants for the entire world. They cannot have it.
I’m receiving a number of press inquiries to defend myself against the “antisemite” smear. I’m not doing any of those.
Anyone who defends a state or its ideology that has enabled its soldiers to gleefully snipe dead thousands of Palestinian children or gang rape Palestinian prisoners to death ALL ON CAMERA should be on trial, not me or anyone who dares speak out. Those who defend this genocide and occupation are worse than the apologists of any monstrous regime or actor in history because these crimes have been filmed for the world to see, and are well documented by every human rights organization in the world. Call me what you want. My family and people’s blood is on your hands, and your tongues will one day testify against you.
The Netzah Yehuda battalion, known for its severe human rights violations in the West Bank, was under "investigation" by the U.S. @StateDept, led by @SecBlinken, for confirmed gross human rights abuses. These included the death of 80-year-old Palestinian American Omar Assad and the rape of a child.
Despite substantial evidence, Blinken decided not to impose sanctions, citing the Israeli government's claims of remedial actions, including the dismissal of involved soldiers and changes to their training.
However, reports indicate that dismissed soldiers were promoted to senior military positions, raising doubts about the effectiveness of these measures.
The IDF took what appears to be unprecedented action against the battalion involved in my team's assault & detention.
In many ways, that's due to our position as US journalists. In too many cases involving Palestinian journalists & civilians, we've seen a lack of accountability.
@piersmorgan Frankly they have already bottomed out on Oct. 8, 2023. You’re three years too late. Do you condemn yourself for your stupidity @piersmorgan?
This morning, Israeli occupation forces raided and thoroughly searched a Palestinian home in the town of Kafr Al-Dik in the central occupied West Bank, wreaking havoc throughout the property and terrorizing residents, including children.
I don't think people understand the gravity of the situation as the UN is preparing for possible nuclear weapon use in Iran.
This is a picture of Tehran. For you uneducated, untraveled, never-served, warhawks licking your chops at the thought of bombing it. It's not some low population desert. There are families, children, family pets. Regular working class people with dreams. You're sick to want war.
Tehran is a city of nearly 10,000,000 people. Imagine nuking Washington, Berlin, Paris, London, or beyond, bombed with nuclear weapons.
I gave up my diplomatic career to leak this information. I suspended my duties so as not to be part of or a witness to this crime against humanity, in an attempt to prevent a nuclear winter before it is too late.
Yesterday, nearly ten million people protested “No Kings” in the United States. The possibility of the use of nuclear weapons must be taken very seriously. It's dangerous. Act now. Spread this message worldwide. Take the streets. Protest for our humanity and future. Only the people can stop it. History will remember us.
There are no words that can truly hold the grief I feel right now. Israel killed @ftounifatima. I watched you grow over the years into one of Lebanon’s most fearless journalists, and I will always be proud to have called you my friend. Seeing you report the unimaginable loss of your own family in an Israeli strike broke my heart and made me fear for your safety in a way I never had before. I so desperately wish that fear had been unfounded. May you now find peace, reunited with your family and your brother who we lost today with you. Rest in peace, Fatima. You will never be forgotten.
Targeting is currently taking place on the land of Al-Sitt Amira in southern Deir al-Balah, and there are many casualties being transferred now to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
There is absolutely no ceasefire — the attacks are continuing in a very intense and relentless manner in Gaza as well.
