The film is staring at cumulative losses of around ₹18 Crore ($1.9 Million), cementing its status as one of the biggest North American underperformers for a tier-1 Telugu film in recent times.

Overseas Telugu audiences heavily favor high-octane mass action extravaganzas and massive event cinema. As a rural sports drama favoring emotional storytelling over gravity-defying action, Peddi struggled to find repeat audiences outside its core fan base.

The entire initial pull relied strictly on Ram Charan's shoulders. While it comfortably hit breakeven on home turf, it failed to strike a chord across Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada markets, ending as a loss-making venture in all extension circuits.

BREAKING: A TRAGIC accident has happened on the sets of #SanjayBhansali's upcoming movie #LoveAndWar 🛑

A 42-year-old carpenter, Chandradhari Yadav, lost his life on the film's opulent set at Royal Pump Studio. He was reportedly electrocuted at 3 am while working.

@bhansali_produc has reportedly offered Rs 40 lakhs as compensation to his family.

This is NOT the first time when a worker has died on the sets of Bhansali's movie. During the making of #Devdas between 2000-2002, a couple of workers had died in separate accidents.

So much grunt work, and sometimes blood, goes into constructing those lavish sets we see in Bhansali's films on the big screen 🙏
