In today's Sunday Telegraph I argue that LTNs penalise people living on most main & boundary roads, don't reduce chronic congestion on key roads, and are too divisive to form the basis for the transformational policies to tackle traffic that we need.
Dramatic footage of the traffic at almost midnight on a road in North London, sacrificed so that nearby streets can have peace and quiet. I know the overall problem is excessive traffic in London, but the answer cannot be sacrificed streets.
@NeilSheasby As a former noise campaigner I would say there is an etiquette but sometimes people just don’t think! Hope it’s not a regular annoyance for you!
