He didn’t even pretend.

Conservative actor Dennis Quaid was so adamant about not presenting Robert De Niro with the Lifetime Achievement Golden Globe last year that he walked out instead.

“They didn’t tell me what I’d be presenting or to whom until I got there,” Quaid told Greg Gutfeld. “When I found out, I was nice. I asked them to switch me with someone. They said nobody else was available, so I left.”

The show ended up scrapping that portion altogether.

“Bob De Niro is an extremely unpopular guy these days.”

*This stopped being the news a long time ago. And, I can produce thousands of instances to the contrary.*

In response to Rivington's article, George Washington said to John Rivington when they finally met in person after the war had ended,
"Rebel Rabble Routed at Monmouth" … (and other fabrications) … "I choose to favor fact over form."

Rivington: "What are facts but opinions expressed as truths?"

*Opinions expressed as truths! Seems like the news of today, which is nothing more than speculative drivel.*

Washington also said at the closing of the meeting, "We shall need vigorous voices to hold pride in check, lest our young country go down the same road as the one we just defeated."

Well, the news and the democrat party of today is the "one we just defeated" country of then, and we have and are going down that same road for the past decade, and it's because of the news, not in spite of it.

The news always likes to claim victim status when it faces even a modicum of accountability, but what about the victims (us, the public) of the news' malfeasance and negligence?

We are vicitimized by the news on minute-by-minute basis, by a complete lack of integrity, policitally slanted articles and reports, biased journalists, outright false reporting, going back and editing articles and reports after being caught lying, the constant machine of anti-Trump- anti-American- anti-Patriotism- anti-anything you disagree with, loudmouthed and despicable reporters, and the absolute failure of the news to report on actual and factual news.

Every day, it's hit piece after hit piece, and no substantive reporting of anything that actually matters to the public.

Things that actually matter to the public:

1. Jobs and the economy. We need more jobs to boost the economy. Jobs that aoc and her cabal lost btw, and no news outlet actually questioned her causing the loss of jobs.

2. Public Safety. Stop reporting lies of crime reduction and actually investigate the fact that many democrat cities are not reporting crimes to the UCRP, and their DA's are downgrading charges before the court cases are even filed.

3. Illegal immigration and border security. It's not the job of the news to support illegal aliens and open borders. Its the job of the news to report on the facts reg illegal aliens and border security.

4. Rioting, arson, violent attacks, and looting (classified by the news as peaceful protests). Stop feeding the public the false narrative of peaceful protests when in the background of a live news report a police station or vehicle, a courthouse, or other structure is being, or has been, firebombed.

5. Stop making celebrities out of politicians. We don't need or want politicians becoming famous. They exist as public servants. They are paid with our money and answer to us. When the news celebritizes them, they believe themselves to be unanswerable to anyone.

6. Stop involving so-called "experts" and foreigners in American affairs, especially since the vast majority of them have no idea what the fuck they're talking about.

7. No "kings". You all are so quick to claim Trump is trying to be king of America. Yet, you all were going to crown the two entitled slugs hillary and kamala (if they won, and thank God they didn't) Queen of America. You also do this with basketball, football, and other athletes. Not one is fit to lick the dirt off an actual King's shoes.

8. We don't care about harry and meghan or any celebrity/actor/actress. Stop wasting news on them. Nothing they say is relevant to real people because most of what they want and advocate for doesn't affect their daily lives.

Before he died, Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his plane arrived there was a limousine waiting to transport him to his home. As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver .

"You know," he said, "I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine. Would you mind if I drove it for a while?"The driver said, "No problem. Be my guest!"

Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway. A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone. The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo and he got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure.

The young trooper walked up to the driver's door and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.

He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor.

He told the supervisor, "I know we are supposed to enforce the law, but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person."

The supervisor asked, "Is it the governor?" The young trooper said, "No, he's more important than that." The supervisor said, "Oh, so it's the president." The young trooper said, "No, he's even more important than that."

The supervisor finally asked, "Well then, who is it?"The young trooper said...

"I think it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!"

🚨HERO: On September 12, 2001, the day after the towers fell, a man in worn firefighter gear shows up at Ground Zero and starts walking.

Smoke still filled the air. Dust covered everything.

He walked through the ruins for hours, passing exhausted rescue crews, searching for one place.

His old firehouse.

The man was Steve Buscemi.

Most people knew him as the unforgettable character actor who played crooks, gangsters, and unsettling outsiders.

Long before Hollywood, he wore a different uniform.

At just eighteen, he took the New York City firefighter exam. In 1980, he joined FDNY Engine Company 55 in Manhattan's Little Italy, spending four years running into burning buildings before leaving to pursue acting.

He never forgot where he came from.

When the Twin Towers were attacked, Buscemi tried calling his old firehouse.

Nobody answered.

He knew exactly why.

Soon came the devastating news. Five firefighters from Engine 55 were missing, including a close friend he had once served beside.

He didn't stay home.

He found his old gear, made his way to Ground Zero, and searched until he found his former company.

At first, they looked at him with surprise.

Then they recognised one of their own.

For five days, Buscemi worked twelve-hour shifts beside them, digging through twisted steel and shattered concrete, searching for survivors and helping recover those who never came home.

It was exhausting.

Heartbreaking.

Necessary.

He refused interviews. He avoided cameras and kept his face covered, wanting the mask to hide more than the dust.

He wasn't there for headlines.

He was there for his brothers.

The public learned what he had done only because a photographer captured a single image, and fellow firefighters later told the story he never intended to share.

The experience stayed with him.

Buscemi has spoken about the post-traumatic stress that followed, admitting the hardest part came after he returned home.

He never called what he did heroic.

"It was a privilege to be able to do it."

On screen, Steve Buscemi often plays the man nobody trusts.

When his city needed him most, he became the man his brothers could.
