Audiences are invited to experience Qui Nguyen's She Kills Monsters, the university's first mainstage theatrical production of the season. Performances are November 2-3 at 8:00 pm and November 4-5 at 2:00 pm in the University Theatre in the Valpo Center for the Arts.
Selections will span the concert and film repertoire, with familiar works that are both silly and spooky. The audience will be treated to music by John Williams, as well as Haydn, Rossini, Tchaikovsky, and others.
The Valparaiso University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music, Diego Piedra, will present its second annual Halloween Concert in the Chapel of the Resurrection on Sunday, October 29 at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. #valpomusic

After intermission, the Chorale will perform under the direction of Associate Professor Marin Jacobson, who is the Phyllis and Richard Duesenberg Chair in Lutheran Music, Director of the Bach Institute, and Director of Choral and Vocal Activities.

Congratulations to our trumpet instructor, Charles Steck, on his 25th year as principal trumpet in the Elkhart County Symphony. Last week, Prof. Steck played a benefit recital with Maestro Soo Han of the ECSO at the Conn Mansion, on Col. C. F. Conn's personal cornet (1886).
