Nervous trainwreck with a PhD ∙ Videogames pay my bills ∙ Italian ∙ she/her ∙ 🏳️‍🌈∙ THE OTHER SIDE OF MAGIC coming 2021 @parliamentbooks ∙

Writing a novella is A NIGHTMARE.
Unironically it took me longer and it was more exhausting than writing 100k words of novel.
But it is done, and I’m happy.

It’s almost here! “The other side of magic” @parliamentbooks is ready to launch.
A queer cast, magic, adventure—all packed into one book!

@MalvagioMarco Judging from the trailer, I’m not 100% on Alina (from an acting pov). But I kinda like how they’re planning to merge her storyline with the Dregs’. (Also Jesper is 💯).
Overall it looks cool tho!

[Ester Valpur Manzini--QuaranTrying. @Valpur_]

@itssocole In Italy it’s the same but for March: “Marzo pazzerello, esci col sole ma prendi l’ombrello, which translates to “March is weird, you leave home under the sun but better take an umbrella”.
For April we have “Aprile dolce dormire”, April sweet sleep. Nap month!

I feel like I’m getting less intelligent as I age.
I spent 23 years in education, from primary di PhD school. At 15 I could translate from ancient Greek (we studied it in high school).
Now I lack the energy and mental capacity to sit down and learn.
That’s disheartening.

[Ester Valpur Manzini--QuaranTrying. @Valpur_]

Negative review because "they're LESBIANS D:" or "too many non-traditional relationships".

I take those as badges of honor.

#bookcountdown -3!!!!!

"The other side of magic" is almost here! For an author like me, on her first experience with a book written in a language other than her native one, it's the biggest adventure!

Today's gender is a sword.

#AprilFoolsDay makes me terribly nervous, it makes me question everything I read and doubt everyone around me and I just want it to be over soon.

Yeah I'm fun at parties.

[Ester Valpur Manzini--QuaranTrying. @Valpur_]

@MalvagioMarco (Hellblade is one of my favorite games anyway, but if you're in a not-so-good mental place better avoid it for the moment)

[Ester Valpur Manzini--QuaranTrying. @Valpur_]

@MalvagioMarco PC, right? Because I'm playing The Last of Us, loving it, and I think it's rather short. Same as the Uncharted series. But they're both for PS.
Undertale and Portal are under 10hrs and pretty cool too.

Today I bought a big batch of seeds from an association that promotes ancient cultivars of fruits and vegetables. Tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, pumpkins.
Gonna plant it all in the next few weeks.
Feeling some sort of garden witch now.
