The BJP’s latest propaganda exercise deserves a reality check.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru remains the longest-serving Prime Minister of India. The BJP’s claim rests on a technicality of counting only from 26 January 1950 and then conveniently using the phrase “longest serving elected”.

India did not come into existence on 26 January 1950. Our national journey as an independent nation began on 15 August 1947.

Instead of manufacturing records through semantic jugglery and headline management, the government should focus on addressing the challenges confronting the people. History cannot be rewritten by clever footnotes or political marketing.

The rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan Ji’s Rajya Sabha nomination in Madhya Pradesh raises serious questions about the integrity of the democratic process.

At a time when democratic institutions must remain impartial and transparent, such developments only strengthen concerns that the ruling BJP is misusing its influence to eliminate political competition rather than face it.

Democracy thrives on fair contest and equal opportunity, not on procedural obstacles and political manipulation. Every attempt to suppress opposition voices is an attempt to weaken the mandate of the people.

Those who believe in constitutional values must stand united against such actions. The fight to protect democracy, uphold justice, and defend the people's right to representation will continue with greater resolve.

देश के लोकतंत्र में आज तक ऐसा नहीं हुआ।

कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार का नॉमिनेशन बिना कारण बताए रद्द कर दिया गया। हमारे उम्मीदवार के ऊपर कोई मुक़दमा नहीं है, फिर भी जानबूझकर लोकतंत्र की हत्या की जा रही है।

हम इसी विषय पर आवेदन देने के लिए निर्वाचन आयोग आए थे, जिसकी जानकारी हमने दो घंटे पहले दे दी थी, लेकिन फिर भी हमें अंदर जाने नहीं दिया जा रहा।

जिस सीट को हम जीत रहे थे, उसे बिना कारण रद्द कर दिया गया है, ऐसे में हम किससे शिकायत करेंगे।

पूरा देश देख रहा है.. BJP चुनाव ज��तने के लिए किसी भी हद तक जा सकती है।

इसके साथ ही चुनाव आयोग को भी अपने गिरेबान में झांकना चाहिए कि वे लोकतंत्र को किस दिशा में लेकर जा रहे हैं।

चुनाव आयोग ने बिना किसी कारण कांग्रेस की राज्यसभा सांसद उम्मीदवार मीनाक्षी नटराजन जी का नामांकन रद्द कर दिया।

इसके ��़िलाफ़ कांग्रेस का दल आवेदन लेकर चुनाव आयोग पहुंचा, लेकिन उन्हें बाहर ही रोक दिया गया।

लोकतंत्र सिर्फ चुनाव कराने का नाम नहीं है, बल्कि निष्पक्ष चुनाव सुनिश्चित करने का नाम है।

जब विपक्षी उम्मीदवार का नामांकन बिना ठोस आधार के खारिज किया जाता है और फिर विपक्षी नेताओं को चुनाव आयोग के दफ्तर में प्रवेश तक नहीं दिया जाता, तो सवाल उठना स्वाभाविक है।

देश के छात्र देख रहे हैं कि संस्थाओं की निष्पक्षता पर लगातार प्रश्नचिन्ह क्यों लग रहे हैं।

लोकतंत्र में जवाबदेही से भागना नहीं, सवालों का जवाब देना पड़ता है।
