Each box is stocked with free Naloxone, strips to test for presence of Fentanyl/Xylazine, lock boxes for meds, educational materials & a ONEbox—an interactive, digital resource that provides step-by-step instructions for administering Naloxone, in both English and Spanish.
The 1:1 syringe exchange model is humiliating & dehumanizing as fuck. It denies folks personal autonomy & self-care. Imagine having to return your alcohol containers for a 1:1 exchange every time & NIMBYs calling for bars to shut down due to beer can litter.

Safer Consumption Services Act didn't make it to the senate floor because we're too busy with the 2nd amendment and school shootings. Give EVERYONE guns, just give them the ones our country's founders had and all this will go away! #muzzleloader
BREAKING: My legislation, A.224, to authorize overdose prevention centers in New York State just passed the Health Committee.
Countries around the world have used #OPCs for decades to help #EndOverdose. Allowing OPCs to operate in NYS will save lives.
