Hi @elonmusk@teslaenergy I am a former Systems Integration Test Engineer, Special Ops Veteran and current stay at home Dad who is looking to further my education and get back into the engineering world. I am looking at using my VA CH 31 benefits to obtain an Engineering certification called “SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT ENERGY ENGINEERING” from the University of Florida. The VA advised me they are concerned about the availability of jobs in this field. What are your thoughts on this? The certification would be about “A comprehensive educational experience for engineering students interested in sustainable energy, advanced energy generation, storage, and grid resiliency technologies.”
It would include courses such as: Li-ion Next Generation Batteries, Thermodynamics, Energy Conversion, Industrial Energy Management, and Solar Energy Utilization.
I’d appreciate any input from you. Or a job 😂. Thank you.
I live in south Georgia and there is a Tesla dealer in Tallahassee, Florida about an hour from my house. I was told since I live in Georgia and have a Georgia drivers license I HAD to take delivery in Georgia. So intense of driving an hour south I had to drive either 3.5 hours one way to Atlanta. I still don’t understand why I couldn’t have bought the Tesla in Florida and have it registered in Georgia. I just did this with a new VW Atlas. Purchased in from a Florida dealership , registered it in Georgia. They even delivered it to my door step!
Also when I took delivery the car wasn’t fully charged. I don’t remember exactly but it was less than 50%. Any ICE vehicle I’ve purchased always came with a full tank of gas lol. Minor complaint though.
Those were my only complaints about my purchasing experience.
I was in school pick up line. Saw the app update and installed. Car immediately notified saying doors will not lock if I leave car and shifted to park. Couldn’t engage drive. I reset the car, restarted app. Opened door and closed and it notified me to connect phone key. Worked after ther but I was worried. I’ll carry my phone key from now on.
@SawyerMerritt@Tesla@TeslaNewswire@elonmusk any way to get Elon’s and Tesla’s eyes on a disabled veteran FSD package? Even a discounted fee would make a huge impact on many disabled veteran Tesla owners life. Thoughts?
@SawyerMerritt@Tesla Sawyer,
What’s your thoughts on offering FSD subscription free for 100% disabled veterans? The FSD helps my back pain so much on longer rides and makes the ride way more enjoyable/ comfortable. Do you think it’s something Elon would go for?
@elonmusk@elonmusk we love the FSD in our M3, my brother got his M3 a few months before us. For him, being a 100% disabled vet, having FSD is a life changer. Any thoughts on making a program for disabled vets to get free or discounted FSD?
