@cadlymack@AkivaGoldsman Otherwise if the renter(viewer) wants to ‘buy’ the property and have the right to resell it. Your cable bill is going to be in the $100m+ range. Which if you’ve got that laying around…good for you. But I think the system we’ve all grown up in works better, no?
@cadlymack@AkivaGoldsman If the home builder(writer) finances the construction(studio) but only rents out the property(multi-window/platform viewership) and earns back the investment and profit over time…then yes they do deserve to be compensated for as long as that property has value.

The writers and actors who worked on this show (and it's terrific) will now see residuals for the first time when it airs on network.
They worked just as hard as writers and actors on network shows. Why were they locked out of residuals because of where the show streamed?
I was fortunate enough to get a private screening of the film, Killers of the Flower Moon earlier this month. Having been marginally released from my NDA with the premiere of the film today at Cannes, I have a few thoughts.
@julieplec I think it’s also a performance note. I think a lot of actors forget to breathe in scenes. And sigh to catch their breath. Connoting and underlying anxiety that maybe is not part of the scene.
