Dear colleagues, friends and followers, first of all big thank you to all of you who have enriched us with your updates, news and ideas. We have valued being part of Twitter community but X does not align with our values and we will be ‘ moving over’ to Bluesky. See you there? 😊
Our beautiful girl is currently being monitored in hospital with a tummy bug.She has PPA2 deficiency,a mitochondrial disease that can cause sudden cardiac death. It stole our 3 year old son in 2021. So far she seems stable and has stopped being sick. If you work for the NHS (1/2)
Taking my daughter for her first maths tutoring session today as she sits her GCSEs this year. Due to lots of time off, she has big gaps. I felt like a bad mum making her go in the summer holidays but then realised that what I’m doing actually makes me a good mum.

Fifty years ago next month, I started secondary school. Between 1974 and 1981, I was taught by an extraordinary English teacher, Roy Samson. Because of him I read English and then became an English teacher.
He’s staying with us here in Suffolk this weekend.
We are proud of the NHS and all of the people who contribute to it, no matter where they are from.
If you want to show your appreciation for a diverse NHS workforce...

Teaching Assistants are the unsung heroes of our schools. They deserve fair pay, proper terms, and the recognition they've earned for shaping young minds.
We are opening a new SEND unit for children with Communication and Interaction needs in September.
Just been to see the progress of the work.
Can’t wait to dress it once the carpet is in and start imagining it full of little people.

Hats off to any parents solo navigating the summer with 4+ little kids alone. I’m shattered!! Lovely day, from scavenger hunts, nature walks, stone painting & fairy house making. I’m used to teens who slob around in pjs watching Netflix. I feel like I’ve done a hard day in EYFS!
I had so many compliments over the last 2 weeks! We were in the waiting room in the hospital, this elderly lady next to us piped up to say “the parking is awful here, but that beautiful smile is worth seeing after all the stress so thank you.” Made me smile even more! ❤️🥺
I am trying not to read some of the comments. It’s upsetting and hurtful. In recent months, I have reduced my media exposure and interviews because it’s not nice reading and seeing hateful comments. All I am asking for a bit kindness and compassion and don’t understand why some people can’t be open mind and willing to either show solidarity or at lest not send mean messages on social media. I hope we can all find our humanity and empathy to those struggling to find safety and peace.
When you start watching the first episode of a mini-series, you either switch off or can't wait to see the next episode. Excited to see what happens next.
I want our students to feel the latter - that they can't wait for the next lesson/episode. Excited to come to school.
