Hayek was asked to leave “a statement for the future generations.” His response is brilliant:
“Modern civilization which enables us to maintain 4 billion people was made possible by the institution of private property. It is only thanks to this institution that we achieved an extensive order far exceeding anybody’s knowledge.”
“If you destroy that moral basis, which consists in the recognition of private property, we will destroy the sources which nourish present-day mankind, and create a catastrophe of starvation beyond anything mankind has yet experienced.”
Like all transformative inventions, AI is neither salvation nor doom in itself; it is a mirror. It reflects the intentions of those who wield it, and it is we who determine whether it serves destruction or human flourishing.
The government takes a third of your income before you even see it.
If you can still afford a home, they tax you just for keeping it.
Then they tax what’s left when you spend (sales tax), save (inflation), and invest it (capital gains).
And when you die, they tax that too.
@TheBTCTherapist If we don’t go back and close above 90.8k then we will probably go to 73-76k before next rally. I don’t know about 69k. Path of least resistance currently is down
I don't ask for a lot.
But one of my wife's really good friends needs prayer.
She's an amazing woman, pillar of the foster community in Vegas, & has 3 little girls she adopted under 5.
She suffered a severe injury a couple days ago & has been unresponsive.
They are talking about preparing hospice tomorrow 😢.
I believe so much in the power of prayer.
Will you please take 30 seconds & pray for NICOLE.
•Pray for a miracle & that God moves.
•Pray for her children & family.
•Pray for the doctors.
I truly believe God is still in the miracle business.
Please pray. 🙏
Do you think the dollar won’t collapse regardless of Bitcoin? When you lived through it who came out on top and what needed to happen before things stabilized?
The chaos will be tamed faster with or without Bitcoin?
Once tamed do you think a Bitcoin system would be fairer and more conducive to the average person working for a wage?
This is exactly why she’s a former prime minister, and why the 🤡🌎 wanted her out so quickly.
We need more political leaders who understand Bitcoin if we want to change the world for the better.
I saw your time on stage @PeterSchiff. You are caught up on money needing to have some value other than being money. It needs to be a measuring stick that doesn’t change, to measure wealth and exchange for it. And it needs to have the characteristics of sound money. Bitcoin is pure money and you don’t need it to be a consumable/usable commodity. Its rules can’t change nor its supply.
Gold is valuable in jewelry because of its properties as money, not the other way around. As for utility, gold was valuable way before it was used for dentistry and technology. In fact other metals had more utility than gold yet they didn’t become as valuable. If you were to put even 0.5% of your wealth into Bitcoin it wouldn’t hurt you one bit. Even if it goes to 0. However if you’re wrong and it does become the measuring stick of global wealth, it will pay off tremendously.
