Chemistry question - if you add HCl to slime it gets thinner as cross linking is disturbed, and adding NaOH reverses this so it gets viscous again, but never reaches the initial viscosity, and requires more NaOH than HCl - why does it not revert to the initial viscosity?

@JoelPMackay @JanSlapeta @Sydney_Uni Oh absolutely, and I don't mean to suggest it's an easy fix! I think that's just what we need to work towards, as well as student led learning, but that is much easier said than done!
