Two sites will be resampled, Water Station 4 and Water Station 7. Initial samples taken in February were inconsistent with historical sampling at these sites. We are resampling and will post results as soon as they are available.

Recent testing for PFAS in February showed that six of the City’s wellfields exceeded the Maximum Contaminant Levels for PFAS contaminants regulated by the EPA. The water production sites include Water Stations 1, 3, 8, 9, 14 and 15.
On February 6, 2026, at around 9:00 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the area of NE 162nd Avenue/NE Poplar Street for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. The female victim was transported to an area hospital but did not survive her injuries. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating and nothing further is releasable at this time.

Vancouver Police are investigating a traffic collision in the area of NE 162nd Avenue/NE Poplar Street. NE 162nd is shut down between NE 39th/NE Poplar St. in both directions while emergency personnel are on scene. Please avoid the area and prepare for detours.

Main Street Promise construction update: The intersection of Main Street and Evergreen Boulevard will be closed from mid-July through mid-August. Evergreen Boulevard will be closed from Washington Street to just west of Broadway Street.
Closures continue on Main Street between 12th Street and Mill Plain Boulevard and between Mill Plain Boulevard and 15th Street. Watch for street closures and partial closures on cross streets.
