A new Marquette University Law School poll found 80% of Wisconsin adults say the failed budget surplus deal on tax relief and school funding should have passed. https://t.co/qXV0acwt4e
All 15 Democrat members of the Wisconsin State Senate voted against this bipartisan, negotiated bill that would have lowered property taxes, provided income tax relief and increased special education funding for schools.

NEW: A vast majority of Wisconsin adults say lawmakers should have passed a bill negotiated by Dem Gov. Tony Evers and GOP legislative leaders that cut property and income taxes, sent more state funds to schools and gave income tax filers a rebate check, according to a @mulaw state poll. https://t.co/fq5uKGahdn via @jessieopie and me
For 15 years you've voted to screw working Wisconsinites, increase property taxes, and gut public schools. Senate Democrats don’t need your farewell tour lecture.
Last week, EVERY Wisconsin Senate Democrat voted keep property taxes skyrocketing, voted against giving you $300-$600 to deal with higher costs, voted against taxing tips and OT, and Special Ed funding.
But they will give your money to people that don't pay taxes.
This Memorial Day weekend, every family hitting the road will feel the reckless decisions that are driving up costs.
While Republicans in DC waste our tax dollars, and their allies here in Wisconsin do nothing, Senate Democrats have a plan to drive down costs.
Every Wisconsin Senate Democrat, Senator Nass, Senator Hutton and Senator Kapenga voted NO providing $870 million in income tax rebates to people.
$870 million of YOUR money to deal with higher gas prices and $2.2 billion in higher utility costs set by Evers' PSC.
Still can't believe Democrats and Nass, Hutton, and Kapenga voted No to prevent a property tax increase in 2026, No tax on tips, No tax on OT.

I’m disgusted by what didn’t happen today.
A good deal for WI - stopping 2026 prop tax increase, rebate, no tax on tips/OT Special Ed, was killed.
Because Hutton, Nass & Kapenga and every Dem wanted to spend more or keep it. It’s You’re Money!

Proof that "Good ideas come and go, bad ideas stick around forever"
Some Milwaukee leaders are AGAIN pushing a no police chase policy.
Good for Chief Norman for saying "No".

To all the moms and mother figures across Wisconsin, and of course, to my partner in parenting and pickleball, Kathy, happy Mother's Day!
Today, we celebrate you and all you do to keep our families, our communities, and our state running.
This is part of an ongoing power struggle between the Democratic governor and the Legislature.
Evers last year won a ruling from the Wisconsin Supreme Court that ended the long-held practice of legislative committees approving rules before they could be published
When Democrats say "Republicans didn't do anything for affordability"...
What they really mean is we didn't give away free stuff. They're right. We made it more affordable.
Milwaukee’s solution to crime is… banning food trucks after 10 PM?
Small business owners aren’t the problem. Criminals are.
Maybe instead of going after neighborhood workers, the Common Council should support police, lock up criminals, and stop making excuses for crime.
Disgusting.
It was NOT a “civil rights rally”!!!
It was three days of riots burning Kenosha to the ground because police shot a guy with a knife who was trying to kidnap two kids!
Kyle Rittenhouse, who gained fame for opening fire at a 2020 civil rights rally in Wisconsin, was hospitalized after he was bitten by a venomous spider, the noted firearms enthusiast says. https://t.co/sPEoH0rhjy
Democrat Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers says the state's congressional map is gerrymandered for Republicans and needs to be redrawn. The only problem? HE DREW THE STATE'S CONGRESSIONAL MAP!
@govevers is claiming that keeping power plants open IN OTHER STATES is causing Wisconsin utility rates to increase.
It couldn’t possibly be because his PSC (entirely appointed by him) raised rates $2.2 billion.
ICYMI: The Trump Administration is forcing aging coal power plants to remain open, causing utility bills to go up for Wisconsin families.
I sent a letter urging them to reverse course and focus our efforts on reducing costs and investing in cleaner energy production. Read ⬇️
