Congrats to Kokomo senior and Indiana All-Star candidate ZION BELLAMY on earning the @IBCA_Coaches District 2 Player of the Week.

From the IBCA: "Bellamy averaged 26.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 4.0 steals in leading Class 4A No. 18 Kokomo (10-2) to two victories. The 5-8 guard opened with 22 points, two rebounds, five assists and six steals in a 106-45 decision over Logansport. He followed with 30 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals as the Wildkats defeated Fort Wayne Snider 85-83. In the two games, Bellamy converted 19-of-32 field goals, 10-of-16 3-pointers and 4-of-5 free throws."

Bellamy also dropped two triples in the final 32 seconds of OT, including the game-winner with 3.8 seconds left against the Panthers last Saturday night in a thriller at Memorial Gym.

Congratulations to Kokomo senior Indiana All-Star candidate KARSON ROGERS on being named the @IBCA_Coaches / Franciscan Health Boys Basketball Player of the Week for District 2.

Per the IBCA: Karson Rogers put people on notice last week that in order to beat the Wildkats, they have more than one talented player to consider shutting down. In an 83-61 win at #13 Richmond and a 72-39 victory against a solid Lebanon team, the 6-6 forward was outstanding at both ends of the floor. Rogers averaged 23.5 points per game on 22-28 (79%) shooting from the field. Additionally, he averaged 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game for #5 Kokomo.

This is the second consecutive Player of the Week honor for the Kats after Flory Bidunga earned the distinction last week.
