Does anyone know why this 500-metre stretch connecting MIHAN to the Outer Ring Road has not been completed?
It would improve connectivity for MIHAN and Jamtha residents, provide better access between AIIMS and NCI, enable bus connectivity to NCI, and accelerate development.
India Day by day 🔥🔥
First and currently the only country in the World to operate double-stack container trains under Electric Traction.

Forgive me for still having an Asian Games hangover, but as I start this week, one story from the Games keeps coming back to me.
Sujeet Kalkal was 9-2 down with less than a minute & a half left.
Most of us have an inner voice that does the maths at a moment like this.
I certainly admit to having such a voice.
It assesses the odds and tells us when the rational thing is to accept defeat.
Sujeet clearly has another voice. One that says: Not yet.
He kept going. 9-2 became 10-9. And an Asian Games gold.
The lesson goes well beyond the wrestling mat.
When I look back, I realise that some of my key successes in business came when I listened to my other voice that fought the rational one and simply refused to throw in the towel.
There are times to listen to reason. And there are times to tell it to wait.
It ain’t over till it’s over.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Captain Smit Machchhar through a video call and praised his courage, presence of mind and composure.
PM Modi said the entire country is praying for Smit.
Captain Smit became quite emotional during the call and said it is a very special moment for him to speak with the Prime Minister.
During the interaction, Smit told PM Modi that he is his biggest idol.
PM said the country can proudly say that Indians are not those who take lives, but those who are willing to risk their lives to save others.
PM also spoke about Smit’s mother, Geeta Ben, and said she has raised him with the values and teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
Smit said receiving PM Modi’s call made him extremely proud and that he had never imagined that he would get an opportunity to speak with him.
Smit shared that whenever he is in difficulty, he recites the Hanuman Chalisa. He said he was reciting the Hanuman Chalisa during the difficult moment during the flight he save from crashing, as well.
Wow, just wow. Now this is something remarkable.
During the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian meets UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with aides from both sides around them. Iran and the UAE, despite all the tensions and competing interests between them, are meeting in New Delhi, and we now have a joint statement calling for restraint in the war and the protection of civilians, with trade and bilateral ties also being discussed.
And somehow, India has managed to get all of this to happen under its roof.
There is something very Indian about this. India is a country where political, religious, linguistic and ideological contradictions have never exactly been in short supply, yet somehow we have historically found ways of accommodating them without requiring everyone to arrive at the same conclusion.
And there is a deeper civilisational idea behind this. India’s way of dealing with difference has never really been about asking everyone to become the same. It comes closer to the Hindu idea of acceptance: that different paths, beliefs and ways of seeing the world can coexist without one necessarily having to extinguish the other. You can retain your own identity and convictions and still find a way to move forward together.
That instinct travels surprisingly well into diplomacy.
The Iranian president can come to New Delhi with his own worldview, the Emirati leadership with its own interests, and India does not have to resolve every contradiction between them before bringing them together. It creates the setting in which a conversation can happen.
In an increasingly polarised world, where every disagreement seems to demand a camp and every diplomatic engagement is immediately interpreted as an endorsement, there is something quietly powerful about being able to say: you don’t have to agree; you can still engage.
And perhaps that is the real strength of the Indian state. Not that it can make everyone agree with India, but that it can accommodate difference without allowing difference to become an impediment to progress.
Watching an Iranian president and an Emirati crown prince do exactly that in New Delhi is quite a sight.
Wow, just wow.
From an opponent to a friend over the years. It’s been a pleasure watching you bat and compete against you over so many years but more than that I value our friendship and shared perspectives on the game and beyond. I continue to cherish every time we speak or meet. Wishing you nothing but the best always brother. You’ve done your bit, you deserve to enjoy all of it now and put your feet up. Well done mate, life’s only just begun. ❤️ #KaneWilliamson

The apologists have started to creep out of the cupboard. They were silent initially. They play the long game.
The allegations are vile: sexual exploitation to forced religious conversion.
But that was almost the pretence. Destabilisation in the modern age is not always one bomb, one blast or one spectacular strike. Sometimes it is slower, quieter and more insidious: infiltration of institutions, targeting of vulnerable people, creation of covert influence networks, use of fear and blackmail, and the erosion of trust from within.
The Nashik HR Nida Khan clearly ran a sleeper cell. Links to Delhi Red Fort blasts are now being investigated.
Place this beside the broader climate India is already confronting: espionage cases, sabotage plots, radicalisation pipelines, hostile handlers and repeated attempts to exploit soft targets.
For the 'custodians of restraint', if the accused had belonged to some other social or political profile, the same apologists would already be screaming about fascism, patriarchy, structural violence and hakka chowmein - pretty tangled and convoluted.
And every apologist who tries to launder this horror as “nuance” should be remembered for exactly what they did.
My pride for Mother India comes from knowing what our country has given me and from reminding myself every day to give something back to our great nation.
May we all carry this sense of pride forward and contribute to nation building in our own unique ways.
Jai Hind!
