It's election Day at CGE! It was amazing watching students get the full voting experience with our school voting booths and parent poll volunteers! I loved watching the kids take their voting seriously and make real world connections through our student council election.

Collaboration and critical thinking at its best ❤️ Kids had to use clues to place fractions along the lines as “posts” to build the bridges. The clues covered equivalents, comparing fractions, and placing fractions on a number line and they nailed it! #CGEgators #ONEChatham

We said Goodbye to Dr. Savage on Thursday with a wave-off and best wishes. The kids will surely miss him and it touched my heart to see our whole school come together to wish him well. Bravo to student council for planning it all. ❤️ Best of luck Dr. Savage!!!

Spring Cleanup Crew is underway! So inspired by these kids and their dedication to keeping our school clean. I also loved watching my service commissioner, Eli Grimes, organize crew assignments and take leadership! #OneChatham #studentleaders @ChathamGroveES

Collaboration, communication, science & reading! Used GC to curate a text set on our properties of matter unit and solve a mystery from CKSI. Can they use cause & effect structure and content vocab to answer the question: Where did the salt go?” #CCSDigitalLearning

Day 4 so Follow the Drinking Gourd. Teams are working at their pace, then accessing the self-check slides and reflecting on Flip about their success as well as why understanding these materials may have been important to an Underground Railroad passenger.

Day 3 of Follow the Drinking Gourd Socratic Seminar. Today the kids collaborate and use research tools including digital text and the online dictionary to understand key vocabulary, interpret coded messages, and label a map for an Underground Railroad route. #CCSDigitalLearning

Yesterday was Day 2 of Socratic Seminar Slide Decks! Today we’re collaborating via jam board and flip asking thoughtful questions about our background texts. #CCSDigitalLearning.

I’ve got my first student submissions for the word wall- well, “word part” wall! I’m excited to see the kids challenge themselves to break a word apart and define one piece at a time. Not bad for a precocious bunch of third graders. 🎉🎉🥰🥰 #OneChatham. #CGEgators

My heart was swelling with pride and excitement as I watched our new council members prepare their speeches yesterday. Inauguration is tomorrow and I am pumped to see them shine! #onechatham #studentcouncil #CGEGators
