Zelenskyy to @business on efforts to repair relations with the US: “I think that when the potential risks for Ukraine are of tsunami proportions, one should intervene while it’s still just a mild storm. I believe much more is at stake than the diesel deal.”https://t.co/Js3ji4LCOA

Back in November 2024 — and even until earlier this year — my analysis was that, while Trump was willing to sell out Ukraine, the payoff from normalizing relations with Russia was insufficient to cover the costs of capitulation.
I’m afraid the politics have shifted.

A year and a half ago Trump stopped helping Ukraine defend itself, and put pressure on Zelenskyy to make a deal with Russia.
Now, Trump is actively supporting Putin: waiving sanctions, disrupting StarShield, and making a diesel deal. (1/3)
“Ukraine has no alternative to American sensors and satellites, which map Russian spoofing, jamming, and troop movements, helping the Ukrainians plan and conduct drone attacks.” https://t.co/R8fjqTyo5B
“If Russia’s attack plan is successful, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odesa would lose 90 percent of their electrical capacity, have their heating supplies fall by 90 percent, and suffer severe disruptions to their water and sewage systems.” https://t.co/GznGWFKjZw
“It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day.”
Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.

“This is a deliberate operation... to restrict us, cut us off, and prevent us from defending ourselves and protecting our people, both at the front and among the civilian population."
Other government clients of SpaceX, take note.

Ukraine can't destroy Gazprom's pipelines because doing so inconveniences German consumers.
Ukraine can't hit Russian refineries because that inconveniencs US consumer.
Russia, on the other hand, can destroy Ukraine's energy grid because it inconveniences no one.
Shameful.

"Trump’s first year of negotiations" has become the deadliest period for civilians in Ukraine since the first year of the full-scale Russian invasion, according to UN data. The number of killed and wounded has surged 31 percent higher than in 2024.
This year, the trend is only getting worse. In the first six months of 2026, UN data shows a 37 percent increase in deaths and injuries compared to the record year of 2025.
What kind of hell awaits us when Russians receive additional money due to the direct support of Donald Trump?
No amount of support for Russia can end the war, because Russia is the criminal aggressor. A modicum of support for Ukraine could, however, end the war, by making it impossible for Russia to continue. This should not be a hard choice.
We appreciate President Trump’s concern for the victims of the war but in Poland we think that those Ukrainians were injured by drones, bombs and missiles launched by Vladimir Putin.
