There's growing evidence to show that air and water pollution increases the risk of type 2 diabetes among Indians.

If the quality of life deteriorates, there will be a tipping point where people just give up and start moving from large cities to places with better living conditions. If this happens, it will cause serious economic damage from reduced tax revenues, falling land values, and further degradation of civic infrastructure among other issues.

Remember that houses and land are among the biggest assets people own in India.

I am framing the problem this way because we are more likely to react if something can affect us financially. While we shouldn't, we somehow tend to postpone concerns that affect our physical and mental health.

Reflecting on the recent sentiments expressed by Mr. Narayan Murthy regarding the youth working 70 hours a week, I feel compelled to share my perspective. Undeniably, hard work is the backbone of success, but it is not about the hours clocked in. It's about the quality and passion one brings to those hours.

For our youth to be truly engaged and motivated, we need to ensure they are placed in roles that not only challenge them but also foster growth and learning. When an individual sees a path where hard work translates to a promising future, they are naturally inclined to give their best.

It's pivotal for organisations to cultivate a culture rooted in transparency, trust, and meritocracy which is devoid of gossiping, backbiting and politicking. The ultimate objective should be to make work so invigorating and rewarding that the paradigm of work-life balance seamlessly integrates.

When young professionals are passionate and see purpose in what they do, the need to 'balance' becomes a harmonious blend of personal and professional fulfillment.

Tang has ~93% sugar! Tang is nothing but flavoured sugar powder. If they limited their marketing to taste, there would no issue.

The problem is they advertise their product as a drink with various vitamins. They also market the drink with a campaign “Tang Milao, Pani pilao” to get children to drink more water using Tang.

Tang also contains E171 (Titanium Dioxide), an ingredient banned by EU and several Middle-Eastern countries.
