Hands-on with the Huawei Mate XT2 tri-fold. Straight to the conclusions:

The display is better than the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold.
Privacy mode doesn’t reduce the screen resolution, which is better than the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The folding/unfolding feel isn’t as good as the Galaxy Z TriFold. The hinge is way too tight, making it pretty hard to unfold.
The Kirin 9050 Pro definitely isn’t as powerful as Samsung’s chipset, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the Mate XT2 feels any less smooth in everyday use.
The cameras are better than the Galaxy Z TriFold.
The Mate XT2 also feels more premium in the hand than the Galaxy Z TriFold.
Huawei even lets you use just the left half of the screen when the phone is partially folded. So technically, it really does have “one more screen” than the Galaxy Z TriFold. 😂
