wining is not inherently sexual and no one in the Caribbean community thinks of it as such but some of you non-Caribbean people have such porn-rotted brains that it's all you think about when you watch us dance...
Enrique has Hakimi, Pacho and Nuno Mendes, one of the best players in Defence costing them €150m. Vitinha and Neves, €100m signings in midfield.
Now compare this with what Flick has. A RB who is more worried about his fashion, look than football, a Vice Captain who leaves his Team behind to get some break, a 18 years old kid as CB, a LB turned to CB and a LB who gets injured in crucial matches.
A signing Barcelona had made in midfield was back in 2019 in Frenkie and two season back in Olmo. The other two midfielders Gavi and Bernal are coming from season long injuries.
Barcelona haven't spent on major signings in last 2-3 seasons and they have to rely on La Masia much to compete in Europe.
Bring any Coach in the World and give him this squad and I'm sure they wouldn't be able to win back to back domestic trophies and reach QF of UCL.
What Flick has done is commendable and can't be compared with the other Top Clubs' Managers who have luxury of spending on squad and signing ANY PLAYER they want.
I think Laporta and Deco should back Flick by giving him the players he want and to build a new squad.
People in Toronto are complaining that the traffic and crowds will be all doom and gloom. It's 6 games over the course of 3 weeks. It will be fine. It's not like it's hosting the entire tournament
When he died eight days ago, his face was everywhere. Every platform carried his photo. Everyone had something to say. The timelines were heavy with grief. For two days, it felt as though the whole country paused.
But eight days later, the noise has faded. His name is no longer on people’s lips. His image has been swept aside like dust in harmattan wind. Life has continued, as it always does. Only his family still sits with the real weight of it. Only they feel the ache that does not trend and does not expire.
Are we meant to mourn forever? But there is something sobering about how quickly the world moves on when a person dies. It reminds you that applause is brief, attention is fleeting, and the crowd does not stay long.
So laugh while your lungs are strong enough to carry it. Cry when you must. Love deeply and allow yourself to be loved in return. Travel if you can. Eat good food. Sit with friends and merry. Forgive quickly. Carry no hatred in your chest; it is too heavy for such a short journey.
Do that thing you have been postponing. Stop telling yourself “one day.” Help someone. Share what you have. Give, even if it is small.
All we truly have is now. The present hour. Make every second, minute, and hour count. Live your best life.
