CHAMPIONS! ๐๐๐ Grandview Girls Basketball takes home the DISTRICT TITLE! These ladies played with heart, hustle, and determination, and now theyโre bringing that trophy back home! ๐๐ฅ๐ช #BulldogPride#DistrictChamps#GHS#PlayForward#UnfinishedBusiness
If you haven't heard yet, Coach Yunker is moving on next year and won't be at Grandview. The program will be in good hands as Coach Gaddy has been named the next head coach. Good luck to everyone moving forward.
On International Womenโs Day we celebrate our 18 players and managers that were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement by making the honor roll. Thatโs over HALF our team!!
We werenโt able to get a picture of everyone but here are some of our scholar athletes.
A big shoutout to our senior setter Erica Calbert for being 4th all-time in assists in just one season running a 6-2.
Plenty of underclassmen working their way up this list as well.
With the end of every season, comes an update to the record book. This year our ladies set several season and career records.
Unfortunately our records are incomplete as we are missing stats for a lot of our prior seasons. These records reflect the years we have stats for.
Our final installment of the record book is career defense/assists. These are the plays that are often overlooked, but are without them we don't score.
Once again, one final shoutout to Coach Gaddy who is 8th all-time in digs.

Another day and another set of records that Essence leaves as the all-time leader in. She graduates as the career leader in 6 categories.
Brooklynn also etched her name in the record book with a great season splitting between the middle and right.
Today's look into the record book highlights our career blocking leaders.
Once again, it's no surprise that Coach Gaddy is toward the top of each category as she was a force in the middle back in her playing days.
Our single best attacker graduates this year. Essence leaves in 1st in all three categories. She is in a class of her own, with over 300 more attacks and almost 200 more kills than 2nd place. She has set the bar high.
Lookout though, there are a few non-seniors on the lists.
Today's installment of career records is attacking.
Special Shoutout to Coach Gaddy for coming in 2nd in Kills, 3rd in attempts and 4 in Hit % All-Time.
While there are several underclassmen already in the Top 10 in Serving, we highlight our seniors with this post. Erica and Alex were incredibly consistent from the service line, and it's no surprise that 3-year starter Essence makes the list as well.
It is now time to highlight our career records. It is important to note that our record book is not complete.
Today's installment is Career Serving Records.
Instead of records, today is awards. Congrats Essence for being named to the 2nd Team in a very difficult conference. 3 of the 7 schools didn't have anyone make the Top 16.
Jordin and Maya make Honorable Mention. Both had stellar sophomore seasons in their first year on varsity.
These three ladies secured our back line this year. It is notable that Erica and Jaliyah both end up on the assist list after running a 6-2 for us this year.
Big things on the horizon for Jordin as the libero. In her first season as a back row player she set the dig record.
It is no surprise that 5 ladies made the lists this year! Maya set the record for blocks in a season, & tied with Essence for the record in assisted blocks. Brooklynn also had a monster season!
A special shoutout to Essence who appears 7 of a possible 9 times in her career!
