@aliterative A courier just showed up at my place with a special delivery saying “you’ll need to sign for this”.
Little did he know it was a contract to teach deaf people to communicate with their hands.
There’s a joke here somewhere …
@Eyebuydirect You won't believe how life-changing they are. We met online when everybody else offered "all or nothing" views of themselves. They offered a gradient appeal–both light and shadowed sides in the same package. When life reflects harshly, they smooth; when it's hazy they illuminate.
@ModernGibberish@GuyDealership State law in Texas that you have to be closed one day per week. Dealerships lobbied FOR the law believing (correctly) that everyone would close on Sunday and it would level the playing field for everyone.

Please ask Unbound to return your marked-up proofs to you. Keep them as a (horrible?) memory or auction them off and make some *real* money on the enterprise. I open the bidding at $400USD.
@drewmagary I hoped you would do Prudie's closing credits so I could hear you say, "Daisy Rosario" one more time. Please say her name on The Distraction next week.
Thanks
@annasale Hi Anna. I love your show and joined Slate+ after you moved there. SlatePlus promises no ads, but your show had an ad for another Slate podcast during the podcast. It's fine if Slate puts these at the end, but it violates the "no ads" promise.

@GuyDealership@KingFazir Many of us, by the time we go to dealer websites, know about the vehicles.
However, I do question MSRP as #1 rather than Dealer's Price. I *know* the MSRP (for the new cars I'm checking out) but need to see dealer markups, add-ons, etc.
