The Turks feared two things:

▪️Another autonomous Kurdish region in the Middle East.

▪️Another friendly government in the Middle East towards Israel.

Kurds would have liberated their areas in northwest Iran and the Israelis would have eliminated the regime that wants to eliminate them.

Turkey did everything in its power to keep the Mullahs in power. It started at minimum six months before the war and the Trump-Erdogan call simply sealed the deal.

In Cyprus, Ankara Turned Occupation into Permanence. Now Permanence Must Cost.

Power obeys cost, not words.

On 20 July 1974, Turkey landed in Cyprus. The operation did not end. The clock started.

Between Attila I and Attila II, the world wrote language and Ankara wrote the map. A ceasefire became a corridor of preparation. Geneva became cover. Process became time.

Each actor had a file. Ankara had a plan.

That was the method then. It has remained the method since.

For half a century, the names changed; the structure did not: talks for the world, facts for Ankara; procedure for Europe, permanence for Turkey.

Process for the world. Permanence for Ankara.

That is the Cyprus file without ceremony.

Turkey did not freeze a conflict. It administered an occupation.

It took force and gave it time. It took a line and gave it machinery. It took illegality and wrapped it in process.

Facts on the ground need no recognition at birth. They need survival. First comes the line. Then administration, demography, dependency and demand.

Cyprus is not frozen.

It is being processed.

Partition survives not by being accepted, but by being processed.

A frozen conflict does not open sealed cities, test buffer zones, install cameras, build roads, alter registries, digitise property files, wire infrastructure into Ankara’s systems and then demand that Europe call the result a negotiation.

That is operational partition.

Varosha is not real estate. It is doctrine.

It is where Ankara tests Europe in increments: access, presence, claims, mechanisms, normalisation. Each move is presented as limited. Each one moves the baseline.

This is not ambiguity.

It is method.

Europe’s language is correct. Its mechanics are absent.

Right words without price are informed inaction.

Europe says federation. Ankara builds separation. Europe says Varosha. Ankara changes access. Europe says dialogue. Ankara measures territory.

Cyprus is not a local complication.

It is the Union looking at itself.

In 2026, the Republic of Cyprus holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union while part of its territory remains occupied by a candidate country, a Customs Union partner, a NATO ally and a state demanding two states on EU soil.

That contradiction cannot be managed.

It must be priced.

A Union that conditions Russia over Ukraine cannot exempt Turkey over Cyprus. Russia assaults the European order from outside. Ankara violates it from within.

No Turkish upgrade while the occupation is upgraded.

No Customs Union modernisation, visa facilitation, trade privilege, defence integration or strategic status while Varosha advances, Pyla is tested, Strovilia remains unresolved and UNFICYP’s freedom of movement is treated as negotiable.

These are not punishments. They are coherence.

Cyprus does not need theatrical escalation. It needs thresholds. Every Turkish violation must pause a file, price a request, suspend a measure or reverse an instrument until the status quo ante is restored.

Deterrence is not escalation.

It is the prevention of permanence.

That is the only price Ankara understands.

Ή μήπως θεωρούσατε ως γλώσσα σας αυτή που μιλούσε ο απλός Τούρκος αγρότης στην Ανατολία, που ήταν μια πολύ απλή, προφορική διάλεκτο με εξαιρετικά φτωχό λεξιλόγιο (λίγων εκατοντάδων λέξεων και ήθελε και αντικατάσταση).
Ποιοι μαρή μπορούσαν να αντικαταστήσουν τη γλώσσα μας; Μέχρι και τις αρχές του 19ου αιώνα, το ποσοστό εγγραμματοσύνης σας (όχι κάτι το φοβερό αλλά μιλάμε μόνο για την ικανότητα ανάγνωσης και γραφής) στον μουσουλμανικό πληθυσμό της αυτοκρατορίας ήταν μόλις 2% με 3%. Ακόμα και στις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα (το 1927), το γενικό ποσοστό εγγραμματοσύνης στην Τουρκία δεν ξεπερνούσε το 10%. Να σου θυμίσω ότι η εκτύπωση βιβλίων στα αραβικά/τουρκικά απαγορευόταν για αιώνες (ο πρώτος τουρκικός τυπογραφικός τύπος λειτούργησε μάλιστα μόλις το 1727, σχεδόν 300 χρόνια μετά τον Γουτεμβέργιο).
Οι Έλληνες δεν "ξέχασαν" τη γλώσσα τους, επειδή είχαν πολιτισμικό και πνευματικό πλεονέκτημα έναντι του κατακτητή. Οι Οθωμανοί είχαν την ωμή στρατιωτική ισχύ, αλλά δεν διέθεταν ούτε το εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα, ούτε τη δομημένη εθνική γλώσσα, ούτε την πνευματική παράδοση για να αφομοιώσουν πολιτισμικά έναν λαό με 2.500 χρόνια γραπτής ιστορίας.
Αντίθετα, η οθωμανική διοίκηση ήταν τόσο εξαρτημένη από τους μορφωμένους Έλληνες, που τους διόριζε σε ανώτατες κρατικές θέσεις (Δραγουμάνοι, Ηγεμόνες) για να μπορούν να επικοινωνούν με την Ευρώπη.

タリウムは無味無臭で、食物や飲料に混入されれば検出は難しい。細胞のミトコンドリアを破壊し、エネルギー代謝を阻害することで神経系を静かに蝕み、やがて激しい痛みと脱毛を引き起こす。

歴史を振り返れば、タリウムは単なる毒物ではない。冷戦期、東側諸国の情報機関は反体制派の暗殺にこれを好んで用いた。ソ連のKGBは「死の粉」としてタリウム塩を標的の靴下や食器に散布し、西側ではほとんど知られていない神経症状を装った。症状が特異であるがゆえに、医師はまず中毒を疑わず、診断はつかないまま患者は衰弱死する。まさに「見えない暗殺」の道具である。

コットン博士は製薬業界で25年、臨床データ解析に従事した生物統計学者だ。2020年末からファイザー社のワクチン臨床試験文書を徹底検証し、発表された有効性95%の根拠と実際に接種された製品が異なるという決定的な不正を告発した。彼女が保健当局に正式な告発状を提出したその日から、この激痛は始まっている。

私はこれが偶然とは到底思えない。国家規模の医療操作に異を唱えた人物が、謎の末梢神経障害に襲われ、あらゆる専門医を訪ねても原因不明のまま追い詰められていく構図は、過去の秘密工作のパターンと不気味なほど重なるのだ。

見落とされているのは、彼女が適切な毒物学的スクリーニングを受けたかという点だ。通常の血液検査や画像診断ではタリウムは検出されない。毛髪や尿を用いた重金属パネル検査、とりわけ誘導結合プラズマ質量分析法のような高精度の分析が必要だが、こうした検査は一般的な医療機関ではまず行われない。医師が「原因不明の特発性疾患」と診断を下した時点で、毒物という線は事実上、切り捨てられたも同然だったのである。

コットン博士の死は、製薬産業と国家権力の結節点に踏み込んだ科学者の身に何が起きうるかを、あまりにも明白に示している。彼女の痛みは単なる個人的悲劇ではなく、現代社会における内部告発の物理的危険性をまざまざと浮かび上がらせる。私はここに改めて問いたい。彼女を死に追いやったこの症状の正体を、きちんとタリウム中毒と疑い、検査しようとした者は一体、どこにいたのか。

I have done many investigations into statins starting around 2004.
The facts are shocking.
And then my husband was harmed by them.
Who caught it?
Not his doctors. I did.
They didn't even ask about his statin use when he had debilitating leg pain.

They gave him shots in his knees and acted mystified when it didn't help.

Walk into the cave at Lascaux. The paintings are around seventeen thousand years old, made by people with no writing, no agriculture, and no opinions about cholesterol.

Look at what they painted.

Aurochs, the enormous wild cattle that stood taller at the shoulder than a man. Horses. Bison. Deer. Great heavy-bodied animals laid down in ochre and charcoal across the ceiling by people lying on their backs in the dark, holding a light up with one hand and painting with the other, because this mattered to them more than comfort did.

Now count the paintings of grain.

Count the lovingly rendered root vegetables. The heroic turnip. The sacred bowl of lentils.

You will be counting for some time.

The people of Lascaux painted what they revered, and what they revered was the animal. The animal was food, clothing, tools, sinew, fat, marrow, and the difference between surviving the winter and not. They did not paint a balanced plate. They painted the thing that kept them alive, over and over, for generations, in the most important room they had.

Seventeen thousand years later their descendants would be told that the animal was the problem, and that the road to health ran through the field of grain the cave painters never once thought worth drawing.

The oldest art we have is a menu.

It is not a subtle one.

🇩🇪 Nikita Miller, a German comedian, was nearly killed by a migrant who attacked him inside Bremen Central Station.

His attacker was released on the same night as the attack.

Nikita later explained that the court stated that the migrant “no longer posed any danger.”

What’s more, the charge was reduced to bodily harm instead of attempted murder, which Nikita said was because the court argued that the migrant had stopped the assault before killing him.

Nikita told the court he only survived the attack because he fought back, and that the migrant only stopped once the blade broke off.

During the attack, Nikita suffered five serious stab wounds, including a 15 cm wound to his head.

He later told the German news outlet Express that the suspect was granted German citizenship despite the attack.

The comedian has since moved to Norway, saying that if anything were to happen to his wife or family, he would not want to deal with the German criminal justice system again.

“I won’t survive it a second time,” he said.
