I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
Lal Bahadur Shastri ji passed away in mysterious circumstances in Tashkent after signing Tashkent Declaration. No post mortem was done- neither in Russia, nor in India. Cause of death was mentioned as heart attack. His family claimed there were blue spots on Shastri ji's chest, abdomen, & back.
A sitting PM dies and his cabinet does not get a post mortem done. Nor is there any record of India diplomatically taking this up with Russia.
Mamdani's mother Meera Nair was my contemporary at Miranda House. She is from a wealthy Punjabi family which was driven out of the region that became Pakistan.
And yet she is a true blooded Hindu hater!
She changed the spelling of her name from Punjabi "Nayyar" to "Nair" to the more elitist Kerala's Nairs.
Her marriage to Mamdani shows that she thinks very highly of Mazhabeez.
Knowing her bent of mind, I did not support her proposal to make a commercial film on my reports on the 1984 anti Sikh riots. She had scripted a crude love story around that national tragedy!
Her film " Salaam Bombay" betrayed her crass commercial self.
The ugly fake narrative she created around the "Kaun Banega Crorepati" was malicious beyond belief.
Her film "Monsoon Wedding" was a crass caricature of Punjabi Hindus --her own community.
OR
"Mississipi Masala" where all the Blacks are great guys with strong family values, whereas the Hindus in Africa are depicted as crude, loud mouthed, vulgar racists, without any sanskars.
All this and more shows that she doesn't mind demonising and demeaning her own people in order to make money and join the elite Woke Club.
In 2002 Roberto Carlos saved his shirt after the UCL final and was asked if he would ever swap that shirt.
He said "One day the greatest CB would come around and I would be swap my shirt with him." He went on to put that in his will.
Yesterday, he swapped that shirt with VVD.
@RahulGandhi Mr. jan nayak ✋
picture from the state where your sister is an MP
When you stay dead silent about women being treated like dirt just because the state is run by your pals, that is not just selective outrage, that is pure, spineless HYPOCRISY
Your energy, drive, and passion on the pitch have left a mark that won’t be forgotten. We were truly lucky to have you at Liverpool, and it’s been an honour to share part of your journey and success story.
As a teammate, you were more than reliable — you were inspiring. As a friend, even more so.
We all saw the strength it took to keep going through the tough times off the pitch. What you went through would’ve broken most, but you came back strong and gave everything for the club. That kind of resilience sets an example for others and earns nothing but respect.
Wishing you all the best for what’s next, Lucho.
