This is scary.
ChatGPT has caught up with human intelligence.
If you ask it to list 20 great things about Ohio, it struggles and just mentions "it's affordable."
@realGeorgeHotz I think there are a few good rules that will help with transparency:
1- if you have critique of something you go to that person and tell them in the face. I tried that with your critique of prodmixer and Vijay and Brent showed you, you don’t know what you are talking about.
@realGeorgeHotz I don’t know why some people feel the need to give opinions about things that they don’t fully understand. @realGeorgeHotz I wish you were able to ship a few lines of codes to production instead of “opinions”.
I regret to inform you that the JavaScript that was going to completely rewrite Twitter Search including the ranking algo will not in fact be shipping. I know this comes as a shock.
Kind of bummed at the negativity in the comments on my TikTok on #ChatGPT. A lot of angry young people cheating on their homework and turning in chat answers as their own. They are not interested in learning how the systems work…

NEW: Email from Elon to the engineering team: "Anyone who can actually write software, please report to the 10th floor at 2pm today. Before doing so, please email me a bullet point summary of what your code commits have achieved in the past 6 months" 1/
I’m not going to bow and click “yes”. Sorry Mr richest man, I control my life.
It’s a great ride. I made friends and they are the smartest people I’ve worked with. World class engineers don’t bullshit.
Nothing lined up yet, hit me up if you know interesting things happening 🫡
Ironically, the better the departing Twitter engineers did their jobs, the longer Twitter will be able to coast on a skeleton crew without obvious failures hitting users.
!!! “I know of six critical systems (like ‘serving tweets’ levels of critical) which no longer have any engineers," "There is no longer even a skeleton crew manning the system. It will continue to coast until it runs into something, and then it will stop.”

I was laid off from Twitter this afternoon. I was in charge of managing badge access to Twitter offices.
Elon just called me and asked if I could come back to help them regain access to HQ as they shut off all badges and accidentally locked themselves out.
Good morning Twitter employee. You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes
My favorite replies are the ones who say that it doesn’t matter if Twitter loses great swathes of its highly qualified engineering staff because Musk is so cool that other engineers will be lining up to work with him.
