@AlDenteLabs Yes, vents are taken into account. Haven't checked it against a real board yet, that's next on the list. Keen to see how close the real ESP32-C3 board gets to the 52.0 °C sealed and 50.4 °C vented numbers.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

WholeBoard now sims the board inside its enclosure. ESP32-C3 board, 333 mW: 42.6 °C in open air, 52.0 °C sealed in a PLA box. Add lid and side slots and it drops to 50.4 °C. Still in spec in a 40 °C room. Sealed or vented for yours?

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@XER_JK Good idea for heat. Metal near the ESP32-C3 antenna would hurt the 2.4 GHz range though, so the antenna would need to sit outside it or behind a cutout.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@KRoelandschap Looks like the Tesla only stopped by choice and the Model Y could have happily carried on.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@RFOXiA1 Will do

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@TechWithTimm Hit exactly this on my 2016 Dell R730 (dual E5-2680). The model fit fine, but decode was stuck until I fixed a NUMA page-cache imbalance across the two sockets. 100K-context coding decode went from 48.1 to 58.5 tok/s. Ugly rack, not magic. Did you get into NUMA at all?

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@richgel999 Same boat here. Qwen3.8-Flash-Next gets ~53 tok/s on Strata across a V100 + P100 in a scavenged 2016 R730. What GPUs are you eyeing for the third box?

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@ArtificialAnlys Would love to see a local tier on this. I run Qwen3.8 Flash Next Coder locally for days at a time, with no per-task bill and no token limits to worry about. Any plans to score open-weight models running locally in a harness?

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@RFOXiA1 No but that is a great idea. Are there official rules for antenna keep-out spacing? Even just a best practice guide? Obviously materials will have an impact.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@stevencheng Yes, the installer *should* download all the necessary dependencies but I haven't really tested much other than Ubuntu.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

WholeBoard runs on Linux, macOS and Windows, and one installer sets up KiCad, TraceMaker, FreeCAD and ngspice. Use Claude, OpenAI, Grok or a local model via Ollama. It's under construction, so give it a go and tell me what breaks.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@Compilethings If you visit at the right time of year I'll take for you a "little" drive out West. It will take a few days but will be fun.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

Ok who is going to start importing and converting CyberTrucks to Australia now? We already have a pipeline for RAM pickups etc.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@Compilethings I already live in Cruiser Country mate :)

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@XCosmosOfficial But Humans were created in and by the Universe so if we seek less entropy isn't that the Universe seeking less entropy through our actions? Maybe we are the balancing factor?

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@theoztrucker The Australian Government is running deficits, so they don't have $100M even from current taxation. So this would have to be borrowed money which then will attract interest before it is paid off.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@AI__Alex @techAU @cybertruck @TeslaAUNZ In 2024 10,611 full sized Pickups (RAMs etc) were registered in Australia so some elements of the challenge are being met. I agree it is very difficult though.

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@CARN0N Yes do it,there are several comoanies to wotk with to help with this

[Nigel Hungerford-Symes @VectorCrossProd]

@TruthFairy131 This is egregious
