Bryan is actually more interesting as a Resident Evil protagonist than Leon.
Leon is a trained government agent who already knows how to fight monsters.
Bryan is literally just some guy who got thrown into hell.
If Resident Evil is supposed to be survival horror, the guy who has no idea what he's doing is arguably a better representation of the player's vulnerability than another superhuman action hero.
You don't have to like Bryan. But “he isn't Leon, therefore he's a bad Resident Evil protagonist” makes absolutely no sense. #ResidentEvil
