@taylorswift13@joecoscarelli@NYTmag My 12 year old son during lunch conversation said "Shelter from the storm and a certain life style habit", paused and added, "That sounds like the lyrics from a @taylorswift13 song." So he asked me to post them to you.
“I’m a remarkable woman..always was, though none of you seemed to think so.”May Morris, English artist embroiderer, designer, feminist and socialist, dismayed by the lack of support for women artists. She founded the Women’s Guild of Arts, 1907 #WomensArt

@kmeyersemery I've been grinding my teeth since i was a teen. My dentist gave me a bite guard. When in my 30s a dental specialist said, as a teen i should have been introduced to yoga to deal with anxiety. Now the bruxism muscle memory is too ingrained to break.
When we think about fear, there are two types, legitimate fear for which there is some valid basis and fear that is rooted in our mental projections. There’s a Tibetan saying that if you let your mind run wild, you’ll see a robber in an empty house.
@itsnashflynn My then 2yr old, after playing in the garden. Turned around to "no-one" lifted his hand and said, Mummy come in. He was not talking to me! Days later our oven was unplugged. The only way to do that was to remove the skirting board and stretch arm under. We hadn't touched it.
@artlust Agree 💯 with the not talking down to people when explaining art. It is counterproductive and achieves the opposite. Worked in a museum (I'm a non-museum graduate), with my projects I always aimed at describing art in a fun way. You shouldn't need a dictionary to understand art!
@damianradcliffe@karenkho We are also not going to use the donation allocated towards your position because then we would have to pay you more. Let's just lead everyone to believe it.

The most important lesson I've learned in the last year:
Burnout isn't just the result of too much work. It's the TYPE of work. And, more specifically, your emotional connection to it.
Burnout comes from feeling like no matter how much you do, it will never be enough.
A thing I like about the Italians is the waiters never interrupt you to ask if everything is okay with your meal.
They already know it's the best thing you've ever eaten.
