After discussions and careful risk assessment today, we’ve decided to reschedule the launch to Friday. You’ll see the updated countdown on Obtimus.

I want to emphasize that the decision to delay the @Bencatcoin launch wasn’t one we took lightly. Earlier today, a huge number of AR tokens were bridged to wAR, and the surge in transactions caused AO’s testnet to crash. To protect everyone’s funds, we made the tough call to delay the launch. (Imagine if we had gone live while AO’s testnet was already crashing — your wAR would have been at serious risk.)

This is why we had to make the last-minute decision to delay, an hour before the original launch time. It’s not just the community members' time that’s invested — the BENCAT founding team has poured everything into $BENCAT. We love the @aoTheComputer ecosystem, and we’re here for the long haul. We want to do right by the community and ensure the safety of every BENCAT BULIEVER. I hope you can understand why we made today’s decision.

Every great ecosystem has its growing pains. Solana went through multiple network downtimes. Ethereum dealt with slow speeds and crazy gas fees. Even Sui faced its share of challenges. On the flip side, some blockchains seem “problem-free,” but that’s often because they lack truly active users — and that’s a far bigger risk to long-term value.

One crash doesn’t signal failure. In fact, it’s a sign of success in progress. To build something great, we have to uncover and fix issues as we go, strengthening the foundation of the ecosystem. We’re confident that @aoTheComputer is on the right path, and there’s no doubt that $BENCAT and the whole community are helping push AO toward an even brighter future.

To thank you all for your patience and support during this delay, we’re adding around 220 more OGs and doubling the OG airdrop percentage from 1% to 2%. More details will be announced in the DC community soon.

Update:

The technical issues regarding claim process have been resolved, however, we were furthermore informed that exchanges do not enable withdrawal of $SUPRA back to your wallet until 24 hrs after listing.

As as result we decided to postpone the Fair Claim process until tomorrow.

Token claims will now open for everyone at 1:30pm UTC on November 28

The playing field stays leveled for all, nobody gets early access or preferential treatment.

Our partner exchanges are expected to enable withdrawals at 1:30pm UTC. The email invites for token claims will be sent out shortly before that, and then we all move together.

Rest assured that the entire core team's tokens are locked for 6 months, founder's tokens are locked for 12 months. After that, they will still drip and unlock gradually. Community stays first.
