We just lost another legend today 😔

Andy “The Butcher” Williams has passed away following a medical emergency during a wrestling match, leaving behind fans who knew him for his intensity, dedication, and love for performing.

Beyond wrestling, Williams was also a talented musician, serving as a guitarist for the band Every Time I Die, where he helped create the heavy sound and energy that connected with fans around the world. His creativity extended from the stage to the squared circle, making him a unique presence in both music and wrestling communities.

Independent wrestling and music are built on people who pour everything they have into their craft, often driven by passion more than fame. Williams embodied that spirit — whether holding a guitar or stepping between the ropes, he gave audiences something unforgettable.

“I don't have a problem with it. I don't think that in this world of wrestling, every match goes perfectly. Sometimes things just don't work out.

I actually think what happened was that we weren't able to connect with the emotions the audience needed as the match unfolded. It’s not a matter of styles, but of approach. Often the same match against the same opponent can elicit hundreds of different reactions depending on the crowd gathered in that venue. But on a different day, with a different crowd in another city, another state, or another country. And maybe even at the same event, in a different order, as the first, second, or third match, it would have been a different experience.

Eddie Kingston has a great track record. He’s highly respected in the independent circuit. He competed in a G1 Climax. It’s no small feat to be invited by New Japan, so we can’t question his quality… if he wants another chance, I’ll give it a shot.”
