@poperespecter1 True, but I think we can still appreciate their expression and heritage that they have. They are our brothers in Christ, they've just been separated from the head. We need to pray for them.
I mean, the rhetoric on AI is remarkably in sync with each other, but I think that's a good thing. I think people have got to really walk away from their political labels on what the church does. Like, the church is super ideology and super political, like, we gotta be able to look past, oh, this is conservative, or, oh, this is liberal when it comes to what the church is teaching.
Its all about the value for the cost. The era of subsidized token spend is over. We're moving forward into these models have increasingly greater and greater capabilities as we push massive amounts of compute into training larger and larger models. So now it's a question of, do you want to pay for that level of intelligence and capability? I hope that smaller models and OSS can catch up in a lot of ways, but the frontier labs are in a league of their own currently.
@TheAhmadOsman What happens first, we get better at using small and specialized models for everything or the open source models get better? Meet in the middle?
@sama What parallels here to the internet being wide spread adopted do you see as important for this work aswell? Or do you find the comparison unhelpful?
@laurenbalik This seems to be in line with what the Holy Father is saying as well. We're converging on new political paradigms here. The shifting has already begone.
@yacineMTB Wasn't it kind of just inevitable that something like this was gonna happen though? With how low the barrier to entry to being able to generate code has become.
That's amazing. This is the kind of stuff that makes these models actually usable, where if you're just training the model, you're not going to be able to find these kind of efficiencies and gains. This single-handedly will save MCP, because I've typically just preferred Direct API and CLI to this point.
@haydendevs Where do you actually do your stuff that you're doing with hardware? Are you just doing it like in your garage? Do you need like a ventilated area?
