I think it is real, was real. I think they are selfish, self-absorbed children. This was a total shock, and their immediate response was to deal with reality in their fake reality, which was to just 'get rid of the imperfect' baby that didn't fit their life, better luck next time. Only next time, the baby may come at 24 weeks and have developmental delays that come with a premie, that is what happens, it's called life, and when you live in a fake reality, REAL life has a habit of knocking the wind out of you.

I have already started to pray for you two. The loss of a child, no matter if Satan possessed you two with selfish greed and hate, will feel the loss and be incredibly saddened. You may already be filled with regret and remorse, but unable to show out of as you even alluded to in your post, the shame, and yes, you should feel shame for ripping from the womb the very life both you and your wife created out of love. It is obvious that you both loved the little guy until he wasn't perfect.

All the 'possible' defects he may have had, well, guess what, he may have had Down's syndrome and been mostly okay. Don't want people to judge you, don't try to justify. When you try to justify, you're saying you know you did something wrong, you're not explaining or teaching, you're obfuscating and deflecting like a criminal. "Thank goodness you had a 'Choice' to kill him before he was born and could become a burden," is what you should say.

An Opinion on Olympic Athletes and the Misplaced Politics of Protest

Let's explore the recent uproar over the 2026 Winter Olympics and the crass comments from a few athletes in their exit interviews. These young competitors, fresh off their victories, used their global platform to criticize the current administration and U.S. policies, particularly around immigration and LGBTQ+ rights. Did they have the First Amendment right to spew their beliefs on a world stage? Absolutely. They have that right in their hometowns, state capitols, the U.S. Capitol, on TV, and anywhere else imaginable. But does a captive audience at the Olympics really make it the right place? Maybe if they had watched the hockey teams and learned a thing or two, or taken a cue from the "Hold my Bud Light" backlash, they might have reconsidered.

Consider the sponsors who helped them get to that stage: the thousands of dollars spent on training, practice, uniforms, travel, hotels, meals, competitions, fees, and all the other incidentals. Was any thought given to how their expressed opinions might reflect on those backers? Obviously not, as no statements were issued by sponsors distancing themselves from the athletes' ill-advised negative comments about their home country. Even if we accept the idea of personal opinions clashing with national policy, there's still a pride in representing your country at the Olympics, a sense of togetherness with your countrymen that transcends one person. Decades from now, these arrogant young people will look back on their single moment in the spotlight and see how they wasted it. Instead of thanking the sponsors, family, teammates, and supporters who helped them reach that podium with a gold medal in hand, their pettiness minimized everyone else. Now, their criticism is the only thing anyone remembers or talks about.

In contrast, days later, we saw the absolute joy and euphoria of the men's and women's hockey teams' wins. They took to the ice with happiness and enthusiasm, spoke with the President without pretentious attitudes to placate a hostile media looking for a story. They, too, had the floor to exercise their constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment right to say whatever they wanted. But instead, they chose to share their moment with the rest of America, cheering a victory with shouts of joy over a well-earned triumph for Team USA.

The fallout from the unhappy campers was negative, and they were upset about the upset. Oh, the irony of lecturing a captive audience and then being offended that you offended some people. If we're looking for true historical protests in the Olympics, we must start with the ultimate slap in the face to the Führer, who thought Blacks were inferior: Jesse Owens, a Black athlete, dominated the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Then, in 1956, Melbourne, the world watched Hungarian Olympians defecting during the Soviet invasion. In 1968, Mexico City, U.S. sprinters Tommie Smith and John Carlos raised Black Power fists on the podium (gold and bronze in the 200m), while Czechoslovak gymnast Věra Čáslavská turned her head away during the Soviet anthem in protest of the invasion of her country. Most political protests in the Olympics until 1980 came from communist country athletes wanting to defect to other countries, like America! When we have athletes protest, they usually target conservative actions or policies; you rarely see anyone protest liberal policies or defect from the U.S.

So, yes, we've seen political statements over the years. But when those athletes won, they had smiles, shout-outs to their families, coaches, teammates, sponsors, homes, and countries. They'd say it took years of hard work to get there. Never before this narcissistic, self-important, self-indulgent generation of entitled crybabies have we seen a bunch of soulless, gutless children go before the camera and complain about something thousands of miles away, something that has no effect on their daily lives in the continental United States. And just two months ago, they probably didn't even know what ICE, DHS, or INS stood for or what they did in any capacity.

The problem is that people confuse the issues. Under the First Amendment, you can protest what you believe ICE is doing wrong with your opinion, even if it's contrary to ICE's actions, as long as you don't obstruct them by interfering with a legitimate order. There's a difference between peacefully assembling and interfering with a legitimate order; getting in front of a police or ICE vehicle doesn't make you traffic control.

The problem was never about free speech, freedom to assemble, freedom of the press in America, and complaining about it elsewhere in the world; it was about representing our country in an event that occurs once every four years. It was about sportsmanship, team building, and inspiring kids to spend the next 15 to 24 years of their lives so they too can make the cut for the Olympics and win the Gold! Why would you waste your five minutes bashing your home instead of thanking your God-given freedoms?

But that's just my opinion, and I have a God-given right under the First Amendment to an opinion and a platform to express it.

You know how I know I am right? Above and beyond, I know I am right.... Look at the way the AMERICAN HOCKEY ATHLETES looked in 1980, the Miracle on Ice, and look at them now.
